Get married ASAP.

Pay an officiant. Ask a friend or family member to become an officiant so they can marry you...

When does the marriage license expire? I believe in Ohio it has a 60 day validity?

Good point!  In my State, you can choose anyone to marry you.  All they need to do is to go register for a "1 time officiant" license at the town clerk's office. That license only costs about $25.  Then they can sign your marriage license and you are now married!  As a side note, I don't know why, but my ex didn't want to do that for me 🤣   But as a bonus the justice of the peace was only $150 (not $300), the prices are regulated by the State.  It was well worth it as he also helped craft vows for each of us, and he even recorded the wedding and gave us a copy of the video for free.

Thank all for your suggestions.

We ended up having a friend filling as an officiant, getting his minister and state license and getting married in our home, accompanied by our friends and family.

@W199 thank you as well for the suggestion for filling taxes together, saving taxes was not as important to us as doing everything on our pace and wages are not important also since I own two companies and will be self employed anyway.

I came over on a K1 visa on Dec 1st, with a K1 and I will be out of status on Feb 28th

We called our local court on Dec 3rd, there are no available appointments until March!

So I will be out of status.

We asked the court to notify us of any cancellations, but no luck so far.

What alternatives do we have?

An officiant that costs $300 or if we get married after 90 days and file i-130 concurrently, that will cost $535 extra.

We used an available officent for $90.  It's fast and no need to go through the slow court system.

Amazing how much cheaper it is to Marry than Divorce.

Equity?
