Traditional Ghanaian wedding ceremony (no wedding certificate)

Once fiance visa is approved, would a cultural/traditional African wedding ceremony (not marriage with a certificate) impose on his entry? We just want to celebrate marriage with friends and family just before he leaves his homeland since they all may not be able to come to United States for the traditional "white wedding". Would we be able to do a ceremony at least?

Do not risk it. If during his entry the officials catch wind of it he can be denied entry. You yourself are calling it a traditional wedding ceremony. If anyone posts about it on social media and you know someone will. It's all game over. Don't take the risk. Go back later to do that and then you can enjoy it without worry.

True words And strong points provided. You right, no I don't want to risk it his entry into the country after all the immigration hassle and waiting. Thank you!

The obvious solution is to marry and avoid the issue, and all the K1 negatives

If this occurs,  u r married

Couples will dress in clothes that make them feel like royalty on their big day, in a traditional African fashion called kente cloth, made of handwoven silk and cotton. For the occasion, it is often brightly colored and patterned or embroidered, along with gold jewelry to accent the attire. The bride may fashion her kente as a gown or into two separate pieces, a top and skirt, while the groom may wear his as a toga or wide-flowing rove called an Agbada. The bride also wears a traditional headdress that resembles a crown, called a tekua. Colors hold symbolic meaning for couples. For example, gold means wealth or royalty, pink means calmness and tenderness, blue represents the sky and means love, harmony and good peace, and maroon is protection from evil.

And photos will be interrupted as "too married for a K1"

marry properly and do the CR1 and avoid the AOS  delays and costs of the K1

Cr1 would allow him to get SS #, DL and work in US upon arrival

Advise against it, and besides if immigration at airport looks at his pics on phone, and there is wedding pic,   he could very possibly be refused into the US.

Don't risk it.

It’s not an obvious solution. Marriage with uscis was not on my side with my previous filing 7 years ago with ex husband. I don’t want to signal red flag with another marriage visa and get denied again.

Both are Marriage related and the K1 has many disadvanatages.
