Being "Actively" Reviewed since October 24th, 2023 makes me think it's not very active actually lol. Anyways, happy to see fellow Oct. '23 filers getting interviews scheduled and some have already gone on to become citizens already. Hopefully "Actively" reviewed ones like me and lots of others get some updates soon as well. 🤞

I felt how you feel, not even a whole 3 days ago.  To not know is the most heart wrenching thing. I don’t want to sound like the typical “happy go lucky person” because when you’re in this position (where you’re waiting with no news), you don’t feel that same energy when someone tells you to “just be patient, it will come”.  I know what that feels like and it’s hard to be patient.  However, I do have to say that once you do see the status change - whenever that is- you will feel a lot better. Since you submitted your application, we know the moment Will* come and it’s just a matter of When*.
So hang in there! Hopefully you do continue to remain positive throughout, but I know it’s easier said than done.  You will hear back soon and I pray for all that are waiting that the moment comes sooner than later.  Good luck to everyone! Continue to Keep us posted on your journeys!

Hi again!
Were you able to get an interview scheduled?  My husband finally got his interview schedule notice today, for April 2024. The anticipation had us on edge. I know we are no where near finished, but at least this is some progress. I hope that everything for you is moving along smoothly. 🙏🏽

Nothing yet. My status on the USCIS website says 2 months. Sigh....thank you for asking.

Is your Field Office San Francisco? I haven't seen a lot of other people filing in SF, but the few that filled their Timeline had pretty long average processing times in the past year unfortunately. I was excited to see lots of people who would be done with the whole process within 3 months but I don't think it's happening in SF...

My interview is on April 15 and we have a cruise coming up on April 28. Since I have a name change I probably won’t have the oath ceremony on the same day. They take the green card on the oath ceremony correct?

What if I have the oath ceremony on the same day and they take my green card? 😐

Yes, your GC will be taken during oath ceremony.

It's unlikely you'll have same day oath because of name change.

You can also apply for US passport with shorter timeline if you have a trip shortly after naturalizing.

The cruise is 13 days after the interview so I doubt I would have time to have my passport before the trip 😕

Yes, it is SF.
Annnnnnd....

I got the news today on the USCIS page:
Interview is scheduled for April 30th. A birthday present and my birthday is the 27th. YAY!
(I applied on OCt. 30th.)

How long after a successful interview is the swearing in ceremony typically?
Is there a typical timeframe? Anyone?

Yay!! So happy for you!

I guess I need to be prepared to wait for another 3 months or so.

San Francisco has same-day oath ceremonies. Someone I know who went through the process a couple years ago was offered this option. I don't know how that works and if it's for everyone or not but I think there's a good chance everything could be done by the end of the day! What time is your interview?

My interview got scheduled today. I filed on October 27th (3 year rule), biometrics re-used, interview notice Jan 8th and interview date Feb 27th. Field Office is San Antonio, TX. Estimated time until case decision shows 7 months

Finally had my interview today, for some reason the one above got cancelled and then re-scheduled a few days later but with a new interview date.  The interview was very conversational and began with the IO requesting for my green card, ID and passport. The IO asked if there were any changes since the application and I provided information on my new job. This was then followed by the english test then the civics questions. The IO then asked about my travel history since I got my green card and I talked about an 11 month trip I took in 2019-2020 where I basically got stuck in my home country during Covid. This trip was not mentioned on my form since it was outside the 3 year statutory period and the IO did not seem overly concerned about it. The IO then went over the yes no questions and then informed me that my application was approved.

I was then ushered back to the waiting room where a few minutes later we were called to a counter and provided with our oath ceremony appointment letters with the oath ceremony happening a week from today. My USCIS status also got updated fairly quickly and now shows " Oath Ceremony Notice Was Mailed"

Thanks to this community for sharing your experiences and to all those still waiting, you got this!

Not sure about an official tracker as I just login, but I sympathize with you on the nervous part!  My husband and I check daily since we applied on 10/20/23. Maybe we shouldn’t check everyday lol 😭

Yeah it's hard not to. A friend from Honolulu was done in about two months!

Here in the San Francisco Bay Area, it appears to be much slower.

However....

I did get my notice!!! Interview is scheduled. Sweat! 😅

Hello October Tribe!

I finally got my notice on the USCIS website that my interview is scheduled for April 30th. YAY! 😊
Of course I wish it was next week, so I can go visit my ageing mother in Montreal as soon as possible. I've been anxiously waiting.
I had applied October 30th.

Good luck to all those still waiting. 🤞

Just checking in on our fellow October 2023 filers. My timeline went from 1 day to case is taking longer than expected stayed like that for a while then last week it restarted the countdown from 28 days. Now I know those numbers are just very random but seeing that still delighted me lol. I'm sure it will again go down to case is longer than expected lol 🤷‍♂️
