NOA1 is an acknoweldgement of receipt by USCIS.

Has anyone's checks been cashed???

I'm not sure I understand. My AOS was sent on July 24th . On the NOA1 it says date received July 27th and notice date August 1st. Does that mean I should be a July filer ????????

Hey you all,

We sent our AOS/I485 packet with a returned address postcard on the 26th of July. They sent it back saying they received it on the 28th of July. So please put us on the August filers list. Good luck to all

No you're good. You are the first August filer since your NOA date is August 1st.

From what I've seen you're considered a filer of the month your NOA was printed out.

No you're good. You are the first August filer since your NOA date is August 1st.

From what I've seen you're considered a filer of the month your NOA was printed out.

Ours has not been cashed either. I keep checking the bank as they post a copy of it. I hoping to see our "A" number on it.

I posted this information yesterday but it appears not to have been understood. As of August 3rd (last Friday) the Chicago lockbox was receipting (read this as opening envelopes and inputting into the system) applications received on or before July 24th. It will be a few days yet before they get through the applications filed later in the month and then get the NOA's mailed.

shona is also applying for adjustment of status based on an approved I-360, IIRC. Might have slotted her into a different pile. In any case, fwaguy's link last week indicated that USCIS was saying 'don't bother us until it's been two weeks from the filing date'

According to the USCIS you are a July filer. Your application was accepted for processing by the USCIS on July 27.

According to the VJ people who participate in these 'filer' threads you may be something else. But what difference does it make?
