What I really find hard to understand is when I looked at the processing times for Detroit it was at the begiining of July 2007 as at April 15th. Last months it said August 2007. I'm just wondering how come so many people ( and congrats to you all ) have been approved in such a short time. Any ideas ?

Hi Shona, most of the processing times were current and processing applications received in August / September in March and then in April all the dates went back to June/ July. I'm keeping my fingers crossed you hear something soon. 4 years is a long time to wait.

I received my welcome notice in the mail today, yippee. It also had a letter detailing how I will be getting a conditonal green card and when I will be able to file to remove conditions.

The letter also says that I can make an infopass appointment to obtain evidence of my permanent resident status. So i've made an appointment for Thursday 13th May at 10am to go get the stamp so I can start working instead of having to wait for the card in hand.

I've only had the email update of the welcome notice sent. I haven't received the card production ordered or approval notice sent emails yet. When do you normally receive the next emails after the welcome notice one? I will probably ask when i'm at the info pass too.

I had my info pass appointment today and received the I-551 stamp in my passport. I then went and applied for a job and within an hour I received a phone call for an interview! Yippee. So i have an interview for Monday. Fingers crossed.

Finally 6 weeks later after contacting the Senator my attorney got a reply. It stated that the I485 Supervisor at Detroit has requested to look at my file. My attonery id still being cautious saying it could be weeks or months. I so wanted to get back for my son's 21st Birthday. I haven't seen him in 3 years.

Filing I 360 3rd Nov 2005

Prima facie determination received from Vermont 20th Nov 2005

DIVORCED JANUARY 25th 2006

EAD applied for again (jeez I need to work ) 28th Feb 2006

Removal hearing July 12th 2006

RFE's received for I360 and EAD 13th October 2006

NOID received March 2007

EAD denied March 2007

Back to Immigration Court April 18th 2007

NOID request for evidence received USCIS 3rd May 2007

I 360 touched May 31st 2007

I 360 actually approved May 30th 2007

EAD filed June 23rd 2007

I 485 filed July 24th 2007
