I have just gotten an additional 2 yr extention on the expiration my of my wifes 2 yr green Card, that makes it expire in 2025, that makes 4 years of extentions.

 

We have now been married for over 5 years on our K-1 Adventure.  Since we have been married over 3 years is there any other action we can take to speeed up this

extremly Slooooooow Process. My wife is very concerned because on a Home visit 3 yrs ago we had a problem at Tokyo Airport when some idiot had a problem with her plastic valid green card.

We almost missed our connections, my wife doesnt trust the process of carrying an expired card and a piece of paper as our ticket back to the ole USA.

 

Other people been through the process , also show negativity. Thanks for your help!!

That makes me feel a lot better! I have to travel a lot in my profession

04/04/2023 - Received by USCIS 💌

04/07/2023 - Text Message with Case # 📲

04/11/2023 - Online Status changed to being Actively Reviewed 👀

04/14/2023 - Two USCIS Letters - Biometrics will be re-used / Log-in Info (Potomac Service Center 😰)

04/17/2023 - NOA FORM I-797 - 48 Month extension 🕗

That is the ONLY option until she obtains a 10 year Green Card or citizenship.  My wife traveled with an expired GC and extension letter.  No issues.  In addition, consider this another vote to file an N-400 as soon as eligible (if that is her goal). We filed I-751 in March 2019.......then filed N-400 in Aug 2022.  Both the I-751 and N-400 were approved on the same day in Dec 2022.  It took 13 months for her CR-1, took 44 months for approval of the I-751, and it took 4 months for approval of the N-400.  Good luck.

August 7, 2022: Wife filed N-400 Online under 5 year rule.

November 10, 2022: Received "Interview is scheduled" letter.

December 12, 2022:  Received email from Dallas office informing me (spouse) to be there for combo interview.

December 14, 2022: Combo Interview for I-751 and N-400 Conducted.

January 26, 2023: Wife's Oath Ceremony completed at the Plano Event Center, Plano, Texas!!!😁

February 6, 2023: Wife's Passport Application submitted in Dallas, Texas.

March 21, 2023:   Wife's Passport Delivered!!!!

May 15, 2023 (about):  Naturalization Certificate returned from Passport agency!!

 

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

This is a good reply with NEW information for me.  My Friend says is there any risk of pissing off the USCIS?  My guess is probably yes. 

Do I want to spend $400 PLUS to piss off the USCIS. My relationship is pretty good ATM so?????

Definitely file the N400. 19 days after we filed my wifes N400 the I751 was approved and had 10 year green card a week later. Then citizenship interview Mid May, and Oath ceremony on the 6th of April, and no more USCIS. Today is the 16th, so 10 days later, and every morning I have been waking up thinking no more USCIS. Will probably continue for a least a few more weeks.

Here on a K1? Need married and a Certificate in hand within a few hours? I'm here to help. Come to Vegas and I'll marry you Vegas style!!   Visa Journey members are always FREE for my services. Also if you file N-400 now you pay $725. USCIS released their 2023 fee hike proposal to increase that to $760 earlier this year in Jan. The final actual fee increase will be finalized in the coming months to take in effect Q3 or later in 2023. Get on it now and save some $$$

I-130 JOURNEY FOR 2020 Minor Child of LPR (F2A Online Application, MNL Consular Processing)

07/29/20 Online Filing for I-130, Same day Priority date 
07/31/20 Paper NOA1 mailed by USCIS, received on 08/03/20

07/31/20, 08/15/20, 09/01,20 Expedite Requests denied three times (self-submission and congressman outreach)

09/28/20: I-130 Approved by USCIS, received mailed NOA2 on 10/01/20

10/01/20: NVC electronically receives I-130 petition from USCIS, generates NVC case & invoice number, paid all NVC fees same day

10/05/19: CEAC ready for document uploads

TBD: Waiting for NBI Police Clearance to complete all upload of NVC docs

07/31/19: USCIS approves EAD I-765 and Advanced Parole I-131, USCIS mails out combo EAD/ AP card 08/02/19, Received combo EAD/ AP card via USPS Priority Mail 08/07/19

08/08/19: I-485 Case is Ready to Be Scheduled for An Interview
08/26/19: I-130 Approved (NOA2) by USCIS

12/10/19: FO sends out I-485 interview appointment details for 01/28/20 interview date 

02/06/20: I-485 case approved and NOA2 mailed
02/05/20: Green card ordered, Production and mailed 02/10/20, delivered to residence on 02/12/20
