Speaking very broadly: I'm trying to be happy for everyone else because  I know we're all equally worthy of getting approved, and honestly EAD/AP approval SHOULD be happening within 3 months. But it's so demoralizing to see people in Dec getting next-day when I've been waiting 200+, you know?

 

What I have noticed via trackers like Hilites and CaseStatusExt is that there seem to have been a lot of within-1-week approvals of cases later in the year (Oct, Nov, Dec) than of the mid-year or early ones.

 

Looking at my bracket, IOE-09-163: 12,237 in Pending ; 3, 729 Approved ; 117 Rejected ; 89 RFE

Looking at the 179 bracket: 14,133 Pending ; 19,132 Approved ; 1,642 Rejected ; 486 RFE

 

The 179 bracket is later, and more are Approved in that bracket than are Pending in mine.

Assuming that IOE brackets are sequential (that 160s were submitted before 170s), that seems incredibly unfair that the new ones have an almost 50% approval rate and older ones are less than 30%. I wish that a: USCIS did everything faster for ALL of us, and b: that they appeared more committed to first-in-first-out and reducing the backlogs of months old cases rather than "approve all the new ones to make stats go down". That's farirer than this current scattershot "some people wait 11 months and some wait 2 weeks". The lack of transparency as to if it's in any kind of order is what's so maddening.

Yeah that's how I am keeping track too, I'm getting good daily movement in the 182 bracket (we are over 1/3 approved) but I can't help but feel I'll be towards the end and it could stop any day. 😄

 

I do wonder if the big daily approvals are from non-marriage based AOS as everyone is lumped in together. Seems like playing the expedite lottery is the way to go.

Received an advert from a lawyer that said they got my information from Lawplus. Can the USCIS sell our information or is it public for anyone to see? Me and my fiancé didn’t put our information anywhere except when filing

Brrr…cookies, tracking and even looking at content seems to leave us vulnerable to marketing.

I get ads on websites but this was mailed to our new address us in which the only place that had that information was the files we sent into USCIS

I get it but when I looked up Lawplus , I was shocked to read they compiled name/dob/address from their multitude of sources .

How are you getting a person to talk with? This automated machine won’t transfer me to a person no matter what I say 😂. How were you guys able to speak with an actual person ?

When you call USCIS you can say "missing receipt number" and it will put you through to a real person

I've been seeing that RFE a bunch in other AOS month posts! When I checked the documents that were scanned in for me so much of the financial stuff was missing. I don't know if they check, but I uploaded all of it to the account so hopefully they look at it. No RFE yet for me.

I hope they are not wanting this years taxes I haven’t even gotten that yet.

I know!!! I will upload the recent tax transcript and hopefully they are understanding. I hope this is the reason they are delaying our biometrics

Remember that you not only need to submit your tax transcripts but other forms too, the complete list is the following:

1. Tax Return with form 1040
2. Tax Return Transcript
3. Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement
4. Employment letter (optional)
5. Last four (4) months pay-stubs (optional)

You can download the first 3 from the IRS website. In case this is useful for someone else, the complete items for the Affidavit of Support section of the AOS should look like this to don't let them have any doubts about your case:

1. Form I-864 (Affidavit of Support Under Section 213A of the INA)
2. Tax Return with form 1040
3. Tax Return Transcript
4. Form W-2 Wage and Tax Statement
5. Employment letter
6. Last four (4) months pay-stubs
7. Biographic page of passport of the petitioner
8. Copy of birth certificate of the petitioner

I also received this RFE. I submitted what they asked god online. They confirmed that it has been received and that they will continue working on my case. Hopefully things will go smoothly. I did a walk in bio last week Friday.
