AOS with ESTA or VWP.

does anyone here on ESTA or VWP and filled for AOS and then got approved after interview and got their green cards after? thank you.

It is only doable legally for immediate relative petitions. 
Remember you are violating the usage of an ESTA if that is your plan when you enter the US.

I agree, a great many people take this route.  Here is the sub forum.  The key is you have to be in the US already and applying under a class as an Immediate Relative.

yes im in the US now and came here legally. our situations has change, came here to spend the last remaining days i had with my gf after our holiday in mexico after the restrictions was lifted due to the Covid, and had my connecting flight in SF back to UK. before my flight back home comes to near my gf said she doest want us to be apart again and i feel the same way too, thinking going separate ways again breaks our hearts even more and we dont know whats gonna happen in future again so we ended up getting married last year NOvember and now we have a 1 week old baby boy. we have been in LDR since 2018 and then pandemic came we arent able to see each other for 1 year and 8 month due to restrictions. we used to travel europe together everytime she visits me in the uk. i just want to know if there's people with same situations like us here.

Being a spouse certainly applies as an IR.  File the I130/I485 package soon.  The guide linked below is helpful.

we've already filed. did my biometric just waiting for work Autho. and the interview. i'm just depressed because we had no idea about the VWP and AOS till the attorney said all about the negative adn postive abour, pros and cons etc.. now im still jobless and not being able to help my wife with bills at the moment. hopefully there's someone in here who can give me an up lifting advice.

If you’ve been here /married almost a year and are still waiting for work authorization- how long ago did you actually file? What uscis field office is closest to you?

we filed it around end of feb. and still waiting sir. closest one is in san jose CA

Unfortunately, that’s not great news. San Jose can take up to two years or so to process i485s - they currently list 80% of cases being completed within 23.5 months. This is one of the big downsides of doing it this way. Hopefully you get your employment authorization pretty soon though.

Having to AOS and the wait to work/travel is kind of the tradeoff when you opt to do it that way, rather than to be petitioned for a spouse visa, which comes with a green card.
