I see that you came through the K-1 path. It looks like you should've applied to remove the restriction at the same time you submitted the AOS with the I-485, was there a reason you didn't do it at that time?

Yes! So glad to be over with that packet.  We were able to mail it without a box so IDK how much it weighs but it is 3-4 inches thick!

OK, so follow my McGyver madness.

 

We used Acco clips, one big one for most of the packet (Exhibits A-H) and one medium one for Exhibit I which were the pictures.  Then, we used an expandable file folder (see below).  We figured it would help in pulling it out of the package and keeping the shape.  Finally, we put it in a bubble wrap manila envelope to prevent any water damage (see below).  They might hate me in unwrapping the whole dang thing but it is very organized, so they will forgive me.

 

It weighed 5lbs.  I got the weight off the receipt.

Just sent our Packet today  via FedEx, should be at the center tomorrow.   Hoping to get the extension letter  as we have a trip back to home country scheduled for end of December

9/20/2022 : Received notification from USCIS

Finally filed our joint application for ROC, best of luck everyone! Let the waiting game begin:

 

• 09/14/22: Sent documents via Fedex

• 09/19/22: Documents received at USCIS Phoenix, AZ

 

* current status: no text/email notification -- check hasn’t been cashed yet
