Whether or not to submit K3?

Hello everyone. I have had a lot of people telling me I should submit a K3 and I’m torn on what to do. I have been waiting 312 days for my NOA2 at the California service center so I don’t know if by me even submitting a K3 right now would make a difference or if I should not even bother with it. Any suggestions?

Do I just write the same stuff done on the k3 application that I gave my attorney when she filled out my I-130?

May need to be i updated? I would think most of it is the same.

My husband said it would be a waste of time to submit it now. So we are going to ride it out and hope for our approval by this month or next

Your choice......but submitting the I-129f would have no negative impact on the I-130.  Good luck on your journey.

Realistically unless you are tracking K-3s now and are convinced it will speed  up the process ( skipping NVC  ), not sure if it’s worth the $1,225 cost of I-485;that u will need.

The theory behind filing O-129F while there is a pending I-130 is that when the I-129F is taken up, the IO will instead deny the O-129F and process the I-130.  Thus leading to CR-1/IR-1

Fewer than 10 K-3 visas are approved per year. The risk of paying for an I-485 is low.

Ahhh, one of those theories of the net. Got it, thank you.

50/50... seemed to work for two posters (they got the I-130s approved fairly quick). Didn't work for the other two posters.

Thank you for the exposure to the theory . But my hunch is the poster who “ poked” weekly got results for pure tenacity. Am a big fan of proper/effective poking.
