If you have a joint sponsor

Hello everyone! I was just wondering that if you have someone to joint sponsor with you and they make more than enough, does that increase the likelihood of you getting your visa approved?

to have joint sponsor or co joint sponsor is mandatory for you to file the application. its not about increase the chance or not because no matter what, u need person who made enough to be the spnsor

 

approve or not it really depend on overall case.

Don’t fully understand the question.  Does the primary sponsor make enough to satisfy the I864 requirements, but you are asking if you also add a joint sponsor will that impact the decision?  If there is no need for a joint sponsor, I would not add one.

I needed a joint sponsor and have one and they make more than enough. So what I was asking is will that help my case?

It’s a minimum requirement to receive a visa. So I guess yes, you have higher chances of approval as opposed to if you didn’t have one because that’s grounds for a visa denial.

Having a qualifying sponsor (primary of joint) certainly raises your chances of approval above 0.

I believe so as well. My case is pretty straightforward. My spouse has no criminal

record and never been to the US before. We have a joint sponsor that makes well over the requirement so im pretty confident in our case just was wondering if the joint sponsor helps

As many others stated above, having a qualifying sponsor is a requirement. How much money they make is irrelevant.

I am the petitioner and I have a joint sponsor. Clearly it is a requirement that they meet the income requirement. So the amount they make would have to qualify them to joint sponsor

Yes, hence me saying ‘qualifying sponsor’.

Let me simplify: assuming your sponsor meets the required minimum, USCIS doesn’t care if they make $100k, $500k, $1MM or more.

Since you don't qualify as petitioner, the without a joint sponsor your chance of a visa being issued are ZERO.  Yes, the joint sponsor increases your chances above zero.  That they didn't already deny the visa for some other reason indicates that a qualified joint sponsor will raise your chances FAR above zero.
