Got an RFE today requesting my petitioner to submit w2 1099 , submitted May 31st.

Quick question does submitting this document mean i would have to wait another 2 months for it to be reviewed⁈

RFE mostly results in resetting the clock. So yes, you'll have to wait for another review period

11/17/2016: Got engaged
11/28/2016: I-130 sent to Chicago IL lock box
01/12/2016: NOA1

You submitted everything on May 31st and today you received a message asking for RFE.

It's interesting to see this since they aren't supposed to go that fast. Maybe there are two steps:

- Step 1: Where one official "review" the documents are uploaded correctly.

- Step 2: Another official go through the forms to make sure everything is correct and all requirements are met.

Don't take my word for it, I'm just trying to understand how they work with this process.

I would say you could be reviewed in a couple of weeks since they have been reviewing cases with submissions by May 19th (based on @webber777, who got DQ yesterday).

Unfortunately the only way to know is waiting until they review your case. Other members could know or have something that can answer your question.

Good luck!

The case has been reviewed and ended in RFE.

Once OP responds to the RFE, they will have, most likely, to wait for another review period

Yeah all documents uploaded shows Accepted except the AOS showing incomplete.

We can only wait and see how it goes .

Thanks!

Sure, that is what makes sense, but I don't understand how he got reviewed even though his submission date is May 31st?. I don't think NVC was that quick to go from May 12th to May 31st, I would be happy if that's the case but it's too good to be true 😆.

Let's see what is going to happen.

Another thing is,  do they work Saturdays? You got an RFE today, right?

Some people have been DQ over the weekends. I imagine when that happens maybe its agents that are working some OT to clear up on backlog

NVC docs submitted May 12 2022

DQ July 22 2022*

Total time required 72 days

This fell right in line with the predictions shown on the Visa When website.

The current predicted processing time is 74 days. https://visawhen.com/

*Case sent to consulate for scheduling (WRW). Had no RFE but DID have a series of head-scratching FE 'case review notes' re: income, etc. Indicated that I 'may need' a joint sponsor.  WTH?  Last 3 years (last 30 actually) income has been 5x + the '125% poverty' line.  Seems like they are doing this almost by default for some unk. reason.

FE note also requested submission of marriage cert on my wife's daughter's CEAC account page as well as financial info NOT requested on my spouse's page.

Seems like a hot mess.

I received 'Case Document Review Note' re: PR Card. Did you have to upload the one written on your case review notes before being DQ?

I completed submitting our documents May 26. so it's still in timeline shown on website right?

It actually sounds like an RFE.

Not sure if it's RFE. Do we get an email if it's RFE?

the message in the Inbox says

The U.S. Consulate in Montreal requires that non-Canadian citizens submit proof of eligibility to have their visa interview in Canada. Please submit one of the following: Canadian Legal Permanent Resident cards, landing papers, student visas, or work visas.

I only received an update email, then Civil Documents and AOS are accepted also.
