    Oh and be ready! I scheduled mine and then two weeks before my interview MTL emailed me and gave me a new date to be there within 6 days (I was panicking as I already had plane tickets for the original date and it was so last minute and wasn’t sure if my medical would have got there on time… which it wound up getting there the morning of 😅)

    Contact ais and they will tell you if your case is ready to be scheduled for an interview. When I was expedited it was available to be scheduled for an interview and they helped me schedule it on the website and what to do.

    Ours was expedited this summer. DQ in Aug, interview was the first week of October. I'd say it moved it up a couple of months but thats it. And Ill add, the officer that interviewed us said he was the one that approved our expedite. He said we were VERY lucky as they RARELY approve expedite requests, but he knew ours had to be done and that it was then right thing to do. If you have a very good reason, it can be done!

    If my spouse is eligible for citizenship after 3 years after coming on an ir1, when is my step daughter eligible (ir2)? Is it also 3 years? Or does she have to wait 5?

    Hi everyone, I’m about to file my first report online. I already spoke to the interstate department that set me up last week and he said I should be able to file this weekend. what do you all put online when it asks if you’ve been out of Canada and the reason, when it’s asking the questions about your current reporting period?

    Has anyone had problems importing and registering their car that is financed? Everything I’m reading talks about compliance letters (which I have) but I’m stumped on this part now.

    Just a copy of the joint sponsors birth certificate is fine. Same with the tax return. The consulates website has a list of what’s needed

    It was a VJ Member who had a previous expedite in her case. I believe this was in August, for her father.

    I had mine on Tuesday, as well as someone else I know. Ours all changed to Issued later that afternoon. Our visa info says “appointment” still as well. My CO did say it wouldn’t be printed until next week though.

    Had our interviews today. The officer said he intends to approve our visas and kept our passports. He said we should get them within a couple of weeks. My status changed to Issued this afternoon

    Hi everyone, I am just wondering what everyone’s personal experiences are with medical turn around time? I did mine on Thursday with Zatzman, and interview is Wednesday. There was a holiday this last Friday. I’m worried if it won’t come in on time. So I’m just curious what everyone’s turnaround usually has been. I called the clinic today and they have the X-rays back but not the lab results. Interview was originally scheduled for Oct 11, but it was changed to Oct 5, the same day we did our medicals last week. thanks!

    I thought they needed to be taken within the last 6 months? And I honestly don’t know what we got done 🤦🏻‍♀️ It was almost 18 months that we did that.

    What kind of photos are needed at the interview? Canadian passport photos or US passport style photos ?

    Interview is this Wednesday. Any recommendations on local hotels that won’t break the bank? This has been such a costly process as it is lol.

    May I ask what everyone’s turnaround time is with Zatzmans office is like lately these days? We had our medicals today (Thursday) and our interview is Wednesday. I don’t know if the clinics all have the holiday tomorrow which will push everything back a day
