You can file  Form N-600 before you apply for US Passport.

The N-600 is very specific. All depends of your case I believe?!

Don’t you get a citizenship certificate the day of the oath?

But they have two very different purposes. Form N-400 is used by green card holders to apply for citizenship through a process called naturalization, whereas Form N-600 is used by people who are already citizens, but do not have proof of their citizenship.

Hi all. I just wanted to contribute.

N400 app received Sep 2021 Atlanta
Interview date July 2022
applied and submitted online with no lawyer.

Marriage based 3yr.
Applied also for removal of conditions but got the n400 interview before any decision on removal of conditions was received. As of today, removal of conditions still stated that it has been transferred to new office.

Just wanted to share.

Good news!!!!

My journey is coming to an end! The USCIS sent me a letter on June 13th, 2022 with an interview date. I don’t have the date yet because I don’t remember the password to my online account. I should receive the physical letter on Friday (June 17) or Saturday (June 18). I will keep you posted with the actual date once I receive the letter. I am in NYC and I applied on November 18, 2021 based on 5 years rule. I submitted the application online.

Only on the physical letter you will see the actual interview date and time.  No need to worry about logging on to find out the interview date.  It won't show this online anyway.

You can download the pdf online with date and time under “documents”.

This is the same notice you get by mail with date, time, location and etc.
