THIS.  We spend a good deal of time in the Keys as we have a house on Big Pine.  It's the island with (most of) the Key dear.  I should post some pictures of the little ones in the yard.  Also roosters down at the "shopping center" parking lot.  Was a great place for the kids to grow up.

I bet those little deer are tasty!

I think the point of the article is that Disney has caved on all the other complaints.  This one is new.  Give it time.

I do agree that it is a non-story, and now that Fox has given it exposure, they may have given it attention that will make it into something.

I will speculate that if Disney had changed the story to a Prince kissing a sleeping Prince, SF Gate would be applauding!

I feel that perhaps FOX should stop giving certain non-stories attention and maybe focus on actual stories? Maybe the complaining author would be happy with a different setup to the ride, but she is simply one person. This kind of reminds me about the new look to Billie Eilish on a magazine cover. Someone wrote an entire article about how horrible it was and how much controversy it created (reality: none) based off of a single tweet made by a... bot. Journalism, even the SFgate author's complaining is often just nothing but clickbait.

I've never been to Disney, is it any fun as an adult - or should I wait and go with my niece when she's 5-6 years old ?

I have never been... but then again I have no desire to. There are way too many very fun entertainment parks on the east coast that seem like they are better and well done.

Fox, just like all the other media outlets are in the business of making money.  Clicks are king.  You could say the same thing about all the coverage of the pending Gates divorce.

To be honest, I never really had much desire to go there much like Vegas, or any other major tourist traps, but of course the wife wanted the experience, and I said what the heck.  I would have expected it to be much busier in late January, but we lucked out with the Covid restrictions and it was not so busy.  Heck, I even got the wife on Space Mountain, but she said never again!  :)

As someone who has been to Disneyland plenty of times as a kid, and as an adult: yes, it can be a LOT of fun as an adult, even with no kids. The key is knowing when to go. I try to plan visits for random Tuesdays or Wednesdays between mid-January (after all the Xmas stuff is gone) through March, making sure to avoid school holidays. Last time I went was maybe five years ago, though, but I went with a friend on a Wednesday in the middle of February, not near any holidays. No lines for anything, not even rides like Space Mountain, Haunted Mansion and Pirates, which always have hours-long waits during peak times. We did Space Mountain twice in a row -- just got off the ride, walked back up the very, very long approach to the entrance and back we went.

With no crowds, you have enough room to take in the whole place, and to notice the real attention to detail everywhere. It is its own universe, and it's not too hard to suspend your disbelief when fantasy is done with wittiness and imagination. I say this as someone who is NOT a Disney fanatic! The first time I went as an adult, I was in my mid-20s and hadn't been since I was in high school. I came with a "I'm too old for this" attitude and within half an hour I felt the magic again. If you let the magic in, it really can be wonderful. And I think it's better without kids!

I remember a single-panel comic strip from years ago.  It showed couples floating through the Tunnel of Love in little boats.  The usher asked the lone occupant of a boat, "One ticket again as usual, Narcissus?"

The wife and I spent one night there a few years ago when we were on a trip to the Grand Canyon, that was enough for both of us.  Previously, I was there for a testing trip, so Vegas was just a place to sleep.
