This is embassy based and not true for all. My case was in transit within the same month as it arrived at NVC. Its more like 1.5-4 months to completion afterwards for Montreal. I don't know all the countries that are fast but it is a good bit, more are faster than not as far as im aware.

That's weird. I just tried using the app on my phone about 15 minutes ago and it showed 9 approvals and 1 RFE 🤷‍♂️; I'm using the android version of it. Perhaps, it had issues earlier when you scanned?

source: it’s my chart. I get the data from the case tracker app for iOS every night. 
 

sometimes you just need to refresh it in your window. It’s a google doc so it updates instantly. The date in yellow at the bottom always shows the last date/night (in CST) that it was updated

I was looking at the wrong thing, never mind  everything's good
