So you are certain all that happened?  I mean the DOJ investigation has not completed yet, and we know how a lot of those end.  We shall see, but at this point, I will agree he seems pretty sleazy, sort of in the same vein as an Swalwell.

No, I'm not certain. I have never said that. But it is NOT a good look to minimize even allegations of sex with children.

Seriously, can we just agree that allegations of sex with children that are being investigated by the FBI are kind of a big deal? Why the effort to minimize this? When I was calling for consequences for Cuomo who sexually harassed adults, I didn't get any pushback. 

 

This is serious. Being the target of an investigation by the FBI into child sex trafficking is serious. Yes, of course it may turn out not to be true. If he is exonerated, GOOD. I would like this to be untrue! But right now this is what we know, and as the days go by, things are looking worse for Gaetz.

Not sure where I said an investigation of this nature is not a big deal.  That being said, we know the track record of the DOJ, so it is hard not to see that this could be a purely political activity.  We shall see what happens and if the allegations are in fact true, will there be a reasonable prosecutor willing to pursue anything.  Gaetz seems like an sleaze ball, but until anything is proven true, he has the presumption of innocence or at least he should have.

Nobody has said he isn't innocent until proven guilty! But it is hypocritical to basically say we need to wait for the investigation and trial of Gaetz while also saying Cuomo should go without the benefit of the same. I think they should both go. Gaetz should go whether or not there are pictures of him with child prostitutes (he was the one who brought it up on Tucker Carlson). His other behavior -- substantiated by a number of other people -- surrounding showing explicit photos of women on the House floor is enough for me to say he needs to go. I have been on the other end of something similar, not nude pics but provocative nevertheless and it crushed me when I found out. I take this sort of non-consensual sharing of photos personally.

Report: Matt Gaetz sought a preemptive pardon from Trump

Not long before former President Donald Trump left office, Rep. Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) privately approached the White House and asked for blanket preemptive pardons for himself and unidentified congressional allies to cover any crimes they may have committed, two people with knowledge of the discussions told The New York Times.

 

Last week, the Times reported that Gaetz is the subject of a Department of Justice inquiry, which is said to be an investigation into whether Gaetz had sex with a 17-year-old girl and paid women he recruited to have sex. People familiar with the matter told the Times this is part of a larger probe into one of Gaetz's associates, Joel Greenberg, the former tax collector of Seminole County, Florida. Greenberg has been charged with child sex trafficking

When someone targets little girls, singles them out in a group while ignoring the boys, as Joe has repeatedly done, and kisses them on the cheek, the forehead, whispers in their ears, puts his hands on their waist and shoulders, Girls who he has NO relation to and is meeting for the first time, you'd have to be BLIND not to see the sexual attraction in that.

Yep, were NOT to believe what we SEE with our own eyes, NOT to make our own assessment as a parent, Instead, were supposed to believe what the media tells us, that "Joe is just a decent and a affectionate guy, and isn't that what America needs in a President?"
