Is there a difference in priority between IR-1 and CR-1 visas? When I started my application for my husband to move to America, we did the CR-1 since we were just married. It's been 2.5 years now and we are waiting for an interview date.  Would the wait be faster if we switched to IR-1? Does it happen automatically once you are married over 2 years?

There is no difference, at all, in priority.

In summary, it took 13 months for approval of the CR-1.  It took 44 months for approval of the I-751.  It took 4 months for approval of the N-400.   It took 172 days from N-400 application to Oath Ceremony.   It took 6 weeks for Passport, then 7 additional weeks for return of wife's Naturalization Certificate..

You have good answers, but the truth is you didn't "do the CR-1".  You filed an I-130 petition for a spouse of a US Citizen.  You only hoped for a CR1 visa.  You'll be getting an IR1 instead.

A I-130 is a spousal visa/CR-1 which turns into a IR-1 after 2 yrs of marriage, it is not you hope for a CR-1 it automatically is one when you file a I-130

Nonsense.  An I-130 is a petition for alien relative, ANY "relative".  When filing one for a NEW spouse, you ANTICIPATE a CR1 visa will be applied for an issued eventually..... BUT....in reality, the spouse applies for an "immigrant visa".  When issued, it will be the appropriate spouse visa, IR1 or CR1.  If a CR1 visa is issued, the spouse WIL be entitled to IR1 status.....IF.... they enter the USA after the second wedding anniversary.  If the second wedding anniversary happens BEFORE the visa is issued, the visa will be IR1.  An I-130 is not an APPLICATION for anything.
