Well, it was the letter confirming that the prints were used from the prior biometric appt, rather than a new appt.  In looking at the chart for Dec 2021 and Jan 2021, it looks like it is still taking around 4-5 weeks from receipt of NOA to the fingerprints letter.  Hopefully yours will be coming soon!  Fingers crossed!!

That letter is coming today! Better late than never I guess

This is good news. May I please ask what's your priority date (the date that USCIS received your case February 2021)?

A timeline would also help, please?

Thanks!

Our case was received on February 19, 2021. Because of the terrible service from the US postal service during COVID, it actually arrived LATE, outside the 90 day window during which you need to submit the application. This had us super nervous that we’d end up getting an RFE after having waited so long. But it all worked out, thankfully. And no interview required!

Congratulations! This is very good news for cases at Vermont :).

Biometric  apr 13

04/05 RFE fore more evidence

RFE has 3 points

1. Debit cards you provided with Statements has different card numbers on them and are Listed on the statements

2. Tax returns does not show they are accepted by IRS.

3. Phone bill and health insurance has only my name on it.

( when I switch to T-mobile I just had 1 line then I added my wife on her birthday and gifted her a phone. Later when I ask tmobile to add my wife on account they said they can't add 2 people in the bill. The health insurance has my name but not in the address section of the paper work I sent them.)

I am little nervous because we are now divorced and I was about to file for the waiver and now got this RFE making me feel like my case is messed up....

need advice on how to respond to this rfe....

So then why did you send it?

Now you need to send the divorce decree and add more evidence. Definitely download the IRS transcripts. If you paid State taxes together, go ahead and add that too. Vehicle insurance? Leases?

What did you originally send?

I'm an MSC filer and still nothing. Is anybody else the same? The excel file is bugged or the data has been deleted for me.

Msc is the worst. Thanks to Trump who deemed it necessary to make it hard on spouse of U.S citizen. I applied February last year. And till date all I see is ready to be scheduled for interview.

Just got notified via the USCIS Case Tracker app that our new permanent green card is being produced! Hooray! We submitted the I-751 back in February 2021 and the only updates we’d received from USCIS was the the letter extending the provisional green card status. Other than that, nothing. Was getting worried until today’s news. Our case was processed by the Vermont Service Center. So for those still waiting, take heart!

This is huge for those of us in the Vermont Service Center.  There are signs of life for February 2021 filers.  I had noticed some January 2021 filers were getting their green cards.

With the recent announcement from the USCIS that they are switching to a more risk-based approach to alleviate the backlog we could be hearing more good news soon from people.

I submitted I-751 form in Feb 2021. Received receipt with Vermont field office. Fingerprint was reused. Received letter of 18 months extension. In Oct, received notice that my case was transferred to NBC for processing. In Dec, received letter of 24 months extension. Case status showed the notice about case transferred.

While cases at Vermont office are approved here and there, I don’t know I should hope my case will be within this processing time of Vermont or of NBC.

Anyone in the same boat with me?

YSC - Snore. Has anyone seen any YSC previous months go through recently? So frustrating… We try and put it out of our minds but.. every few weeks we check in.

Coming up on applying for citizenship date and wondering if it’s worth doing ahead of this? Daunting to complete yet another package. At least that one isn't deadline sensitive like this one was…

You will get divided opinions on applying for citizenship while the I-751 is pending. Legally, there is nothing preventing you from doing it.

However, it doesn't mean that it will bump up for I-751. I have a friend that had an naturalization interview scheduled for today. Well, last week they called her and said they couldn't proceed because they did not have her I-751 file. So off to waiting again.

Yet more seriously, this week an N400 was denied here in VJ because they did not have the I-751. The worst part is that if that happens, you'd have to pay for an appeal because USCIS is not going to admit their mistake.

My I-751 is pending since February this year. I am thinking of waiting until it gets approved in order to file for citizenship.

Thanks, well so nothing is preventing us from compiling the package in advance and waiting it out to then backfill and send once this is done. That and can start studying for the citizenship questions to fill the time. Gives us something to do to fill the vacuum I suppose.

With all the time YSC has saved commuting by teleworking one would think that office would be cranking out their cases. I know someone at State Dept that cant even get visas issued timely out of USCIS. So even our own gov agencies assisting foreign nationals for travel auth for meetings and events are stuck in this same backlog so everyone is well aware. It’s not just all of us waiting.

Saw an article this morning on wtop that talks about there being a gov survey being issued by WH to study ways to improve/ease the burden on access to many services, red tape, confusion, paperwork barriers etc. Whats not clear is if that encompasses a fee based agency like USCIS. I bet it doesn't. I know they try but the current situation is quite baffling. Everyone wants to blame Trump or Biden. I think it’s just the nature of the beast + emergency restrictions that have hampered logistics and their ability to dig out. Prob a lot of job hopping occurring as well which is affecting staffing. Why can one center get theirs out and others sit? This makes no sense whatsoever until you factor in the workforce in the region the center is based. If there are an abundance of workers avail, the agency has the staffing they need. In YSC, I bet they are just overworked and understaffed and or focusing their energy in areas of more timely and pressing matters pushing us to the back of the pile.
