Hello guys,

I would really appreciate it if you guys (VJ SPECIALIST ) could help me with some advice.

I am from Morocco. I and my fiancé got approved Notice, valid from 07/31/2020 to 11/30/2020. As is known, events are changing rapidly these days due to COVID-19. usaConsulate of Casablanca ( USCIS CASABLANCA) is a closed cause of COVID-19. Will this affect the exact time the consulate gave us or will there be special laws according to what the world goes through, is there anyone who knows at what time they are back to work or has a source to track news related to this topic?

Thank you guys in advance for your help.

this is the latest news from embassy about the covid and what is happening so check this site for any new news as they promise to update

https://ma.usembassy.gov/25161/

since a K1 can not travel to US until after December 31st,  we can only think your November date will be extended / this is why an approved K1 woman was removed from the plane and told she could not travel at this time

it is not just what is happening in Morocco that affects your case but important to watch November elections and what happens with events here in the US

As far as other info besides what the embassy posts,  when the embassy reopens ,  it will  be noted in your newspapers , on facebook,  on TV News and you will see new interviews scheduled here on the Morocco portal

The date for "expiration" does not really matter.  The petition moved next to the NVC and then onto the consulate once they start processing K1s.  Don't let it sit once it gets to the consulate.

Hi there , I am also doing a k1 visa (petitioner)my fiancé is from 🇲🇦  , to answer your question , they can actually extend your approval notice  . So don’t worry about the expiration on that.  Also Casablanca hasn’t notified about processing k1s only spousal visas and other types . There’s a link website where you can see the updates .

I filed in 2019 November and because of corona everything is so backed up . If you need anything let me know.  Best of luck :)  https://www.ustraveldocs.com/ma/

Quote

The I-129F Petition for Alien Fiancé(e) is typically valid for four months; however, consular officers may revalidate the I-129F petition in four month increments.  For most cases impacted by the suspension of routine visa services or COVID-19 travel restrictions it will not be necessary to file a new I-129F petition.

Almost all of us who have had their I-129F approved before the pandemic have had it expire by now with no visa in hand.

As payxibka said, this is not a US thing. The US has no travel restriction against Morocco at this time.

she got K1 visa after the June 2020 date so it was not valid according to the EO / she would have to had visa before that date according to

https://www.whitehouse.gov/presidential-actions/proclamation-suspending-entry-aliens-present-risk-u-s-labor-market-following-coronavirus-outbreak/

reads the following:

a)  The suspension and limitation on entry pursuant to section 2 of this proclamation shall apply only to any alien who:

(ii)   does not have a nonimmigrant visa that is valid on the effective date of this proclamation; and

(iii)  does not have an official travel document other than a visa (such as a transportation letter, an appropriate boarding foil, or an advance parole document) that is valid on the effective date of this proclamation or issued on any date thereafter that permits him or her to travel to the United States and seek entry or admission.

and Casa embassy is taking this as a person without a visa before June date can not travel to the US

but they have a visa approved

anyone without one as of the June date falls under the EO

the woman i talked about was in AP and visa issued after the june date and the airline said embassy could not let her travel and pulled her off the plane

None of the presidential proclamations apply to K-1 visa holders aside from travel bans from China, Brazil, and Schengen countries. Numerous documents from the state department sent to the embassies reaffirm this, with lines such as "Posts are reminded that P.P. 10014 and P.P. 10052 do not apply to K visas". A number of embassies are starting to process and issues K-1s as of recent, they wouldn't be if it was impossible to travel.

Your interpretation of the text does not serve as evidence that K-1s issued after are prohibited from entering. The text states that the suspensions outlined in the rest of the text only apply to people with visas issued after the date of the proclamation, but the rest of the text does not reference K-1s whatsoever. Everyone who was involved with pulling that person off the flight was incorrect that they are not allowed to travel by citing the proclamations, and they should putting up a fight instead of believing all this bad info.

Oh really.  Get your facts straight.   There is no k1 travel ban.  K1s have been entering during the entire covid period.
