I won’t know until I cross the border. But I’m just preparing for the fact that I’ll be questioned and given that it’s required under US law I need to be there in person- it should be fine. Just getting all documents ready. Also, just preparing myself that I’ll be turned around at the border LOL 🤷‍♀️ 

after nearly 8 months apart and with my husbands his daughters 1st birthday I am going to try ANYTHING To the visa and to leave Australia. Safely, of course.

yes however I’ve been advised that the nsw police might deny you on entry - it’s up to their discretion. I’ve been instructed to bring the Permit and all evidence advising that i must be there in person - legally and I’ll need to explain why it cannot be done in Melbourne or via Zoom

so you have to attend Sydney as it’s the only IV unit in Australia and I have to provide fingerprints, verify myself in person and make an oath which ultimately cannot be done anywhere except Sydney.

Hi Zochu, could you tell me how you applied for your expedite request? Was it through the portal or an email address and what your reasons were? I'm in Australia and my husband is in the U.S. we were documentarily qualified on the 1st May but still no visa interview in Sydney. Thanks for your help.
