People coming on K-1 first get a restricted one and have to take it upon themselves to update it when they get their green cards.

It says nowhere in the instructions to notarize it so I didn't. I didn't notarize the cover letter for my conditional green card 2 years ago and we were fine, just every time both my husband and I signed the cover letter. For the affidavits the people who wrote it added the information needed (whole name, date and place of birth, address).

Our I-751 was received on July 1 and sent to the MSC (National Benefits Center).  Is this a good thing or a bad thing that it didn't go to one of the service centers?

Just received case # from USCIS today.  They seem to be moving along even during the Covid-19 pandemic.  Sent via fedex on 7/2. And package was received on 7/6.  Now the wait for the NOA and the long wait. Mm

It is totally expected for people who came on CR-1 to be assigned to NBC. Pre-Covid, it was so that they could schedule interviews as we have never had an interview with our spouses by USCIS. Now, who knows how things will evolve.

1000.... the verizon bills were like 12 pages each times 24 statements.... the credit cards were 4-8 pages each times 24 statements times 5-6 cards.  30 pages of photos with two photos on each page.  etc.

 

it was in a box with 5 volumes (hardboard report covers with 3 inch binders).

I am considering printing it on regular paper and provide a detail right below it. For example: 09/09/2018 Trip to Florida, etc. 

 

Or should I just send it with regular photo paper from CVS? 

Being Printing on typical  laser paper in color since the k-1 visa .  2 to 4 pictures per page and date and brief description .  No need to be a photo picture.

I went through a headache to collect a birth certificate because some members "provided" it and went on about how the consulate requested it during the interview.  It took me over 2 months to get the birth certificate (which by the way was never in the list of required documents), but when we got to the consulate the officer told me "I will take it, but it's not needed" and he even gave me a choice to submit it or to take it back.  

 

The USCIS reviews cases and depending on lots of info will decide to dig deeper or to approve a case without requesting a RFE.  They look at children born during the marriage, age gap, background of the couple and even religion.  They will never tell you this, but yes they use these criterias to decide if the case should be approved or request more proof

I think it depends on your case.  For example if you changed your name and marriage cert shows your new married name and your previous maiden name then USCIS would need that if any if your supporting documents references the old or new names.. Best to just send it in to show you got married when, where, by whom, etc...

I sent my application last week and it was delivered on Wednesday. I double checked all the paperwork, but I somehow didn't notice (until today)  that the money order only says "US Department of Security". I don't know how I didnt see that.. I am really worried that my application will be rejected because of this. And my 90 days prior expiration of my GC are on the 16th.. I will call the USCIS hotline on Monday.

Does anyone have tips on what I should do ?
