HELLO EVERYONE ,

SORRY FOR NOT WRITING PROPERLY I JUST DONT HAVE TIME

WE FILED A PETITION THE 11th OF APRIL 2019 AND WE GOT EVERYTHING REALLY GOOD AND NOW WE ARE AT THE NVC I ONLY NEED TO UPLOAD CIVIL DOCUMENTS TO SUBMIT MY FULL DOCUMENTS

IN THE SAME TIME TODAY JUNE THE 6th 2020 I FOUND OUT THAT I WON IN THE DV LOTTERY OF 2021 SO I GRABBED MY CASE NUMBER THE ONE THAT APPEARS ON NOTICE AND I WENT TO THE NVC WEBSITE

I PUTTED IT WITH THE DATE OF BIRTH AND THE CONFIRMATION NUMBER AND I FOUND OUT THAT I NEED TO FILE DS260 FOR DIVERSITY VISA 2021

BUT ACTUALLY IN FACT I FILED ONE FOR THE CR1 ALREADY

I DONT KNOW WHAT SHOULD I DO BESIDES MY CASE NUMBER IS STARTING WITH 24...... WITH MEANS TWENTIES IM IN THE BEGINING

I DONT KNOW WHAT TO DO SHOULD I KEEP GOING WITH THE CR1 OR SHOULD I FILE THE DS260 FOR THE DIVERSITY VISA AND JUST TO KEEP IN MIND WE HEARED THERE COULD BE A DENIAL ON CR1 VISA IN SOME CASES LIKE THE AGE GAP WHICH

I WOULD LOVE YALL TO GIVE ME YOUR ANSWERS ABOUT MY SITUATION WHICH I ACTUALLY THINK ITS VERY COMPLICATED I WOULD BE VERY THANKFUL TO EACH OF U

I WANT SOMETHING TRUSTED BY AN IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY OR BY A PERSONAL EXPERIENCE PLEASE

MY WIFE LIVES IN A SMALL TOWN WHERE WE CANT REACH AN  IMMIGRATION ATTORNEY JUST CRIMINALOR DIVORCE.

As you already know you can have the 2 applications at the same time

i would do ds260 for dv lottery/  wait for the 1st interview  and tell them about the other

I WOULD LOVE TO KNOW IF THERE WILL BE ANY PROBLEM THE DAY OF THE INTERVIEW IF I WAS TO TELL THEM ABOUT IT

TO HAVE TWO APPLICATION IN THE SAME TIME?

With a DV lottery, upon entering into the country, you will get a ten years green card compare to CR1 which is a two year conditional green card. I would advise you to go for the DV interview,  just let them know about your CR1 petition. If after your interview you get a Visa for the DV, you'll just have to cancel the CR1 since you've been granted a dv visa. But the only thing is how soon is the dv interview compare to the CR1? But DV its far better than a CR1 due to the type of green card you will get upon admission into the country.

Hello sammy thank u very much for replying.

but i need to tell u that i may get to the interview about cr1 this year before the dv and by the way by october 26 this year we will complete our two Years marriage which means it will turn automatically from cr1 to ir1 which means a 10 years green card me and my wife are very confused which one we have to go for

my case number is 24000 which means its a small one which means again i may get an interview quicker than i thought

but i wanna know what should i do

i feel that my situation is kinda complicated

i am at The nvc step i still need to Upload just civil documents

I feel like i may get to the interview about cr1 by november or october this year so i dont know what to do about the dv

I would go in for the CR1. You will be eligible for citizenship after 3yrs of your residence while the DV lottery will be 5yrs.

ROC should not be an issue if u have evidence.

We all know the current administration stance on immigration,  so getting your citizenship sooner than later will be a wise option.

We have seen Exective orders been sign every other month. However,  with all the orders, he seems to spare families of US Citizen.

Good luck

You're eligible to apply for citizenship after 3 years living as a LPR in a marital union with a US citizen. There's no requirement that you got your green card through them. I've seen people on here who have successfully applied for citizenship using the 3-year rule when they didn't get their green card through marriage.

Now I have no idea what is best in this particular case.

NVC won't process the DVs until getting it thru  KCC and being after October 1st which is the beginning of the fiscal year.

Normal world - If you are already at the NVC you should finish it there and it would get done faster. Drawback is 2 year green card.

Morocco is always a tough embassy.  Is a DV easier there?  If you have the money then follow @JeanneAdil's adivce since you can have two petitions at once.

DV does get a 10 year green card.  Sponsorship and vetting remain the same.

You also need to consider what the Status of EO's are going to / or may be.

Note that OP said 2 year marriage anniversary is on Oct. 26, 2020:

If he enters the US with the IR-1/CR-1 after that date, he'll get the 10 year GC.

which means ill have some time to pass the first one and see how it goes then ill have the chance to pass the dv by the begining of 2021 but here i need to know if there will be a problem about my cr1 visa because they will already know that i won the lottery

and in the same time can i have the right to pass my dv visa interview if god forbid and they were to refuse my cr1 or Give me an admin review about it

cus i already told yall there is a big age gap between me and my lovely wife

and i honestly dont wanna be apart of her another year its killing both of us because yall know the admin review could take up to 12 months to schedule u a second interview and in some cases they dont ,they just send ur case back to the uscis back to the usa and there where u hear that ur visa is refused And as our friend mary said the embassy in casablanca morocco is very tough and many guys got their admin review or refusal even though their relationship was real
