• A new Yahoo News and YouGov survey found that 44% of Republicans surveyed believe that Bill Gates will use the coronavirus vaccine to implant a microchip with a digital ID that would track the recipient's movements.
• The survey also found that 19% of Democrats, 24% of Independents, and 50% of people who use Fox News as their main source of TV news also believe this debunked conspiracy theory.
• Bill Gates, who has donated $300 million to coronavirus vaccine efforts, has become the target of online conspiracy theorists and conservative pundits over his coronavirus vaccination efforts.

I think what is remarkable is the very people providing leadership and money on this topic, are the targets of misinformation campaigns from some coordinator.

I think if you highlighted all the stupid ####### people believe in, you would find it crosses political, racial, gender and socio-economic barriers and is not limited to any one type of individual, of course it is easier to cherry pick what suits your agenda

Well there are particular groups on all sides that believe this stuff, and they do look dumb. That doesn't seem to phase them.

biggest problem i see with that is having to reboot the people that have it several times a day.
