Is anyone waiting for a visa interview for Juarez/Mexico? I've tried to research the reopening phase Juarez is in, or details on reopening the consulate and am coming up with nothing.  Just trying to decide if an expedite inquiry would be worth it.

Hi!  I haven't looked up qualifications/procedure yet, but I would attempt to get one based on my (petitioner) increased anxiety along with no childcare options when work opens up again in our area; I've seen several expedites approved based on these circumstances in the facebook groups I follow. 

 

We are torn as to whether we should just continue to wait for my husband's interview.. but with the CDC director warning of a second wave coming this winter, it seems likely the consulate in Juarez won't even open again until next year.  My husband has been waiting over 20 years to see his parents in person again.

Well at least it's nice to see all the DQ's happening. Let's all say positive everything opens up June 4th or around there to start scheduling interviews.

My goodness I can't even imagine waiting almost a year. Even without Corona Mexico has been crazy backed up. I pray when they do open IR/CR should take priority. Hang in there

Yes this is the current thread. Normally it would be June Interview announcements. On May 31st I will start a July thread and close this. It keeps everyone together regardless.

Unless it's an expedite no petitions are being sent to embassy until they open back up. So they will continue to say "AT  NVC".

What about Embassy. Closed. And DQ's will stay at NVC until Embassies open. Only expedites are being forwarded to the embassy.
