  1. Awesome! Welcome to Tennessee! That is my home state! We just got the passport back today and will travel soon. We may transit in Europe. Did you have any trouble in that regards? I know IR/CR1s are not part of the ban but sometimes airlines can be inconsistent about applying the proclamations.
  2. Dubai and DOha transit requires a PCR test. Also, I don't like their airports. I am aware of other options for transit (Turkey, etc). But I am specifically asking about Europe. Thanks so much!
  3. For those with CR/IR1 visas travelling to the US, has anyone had any trouble transiting through Europe? While we hope to book a direct flight (these are limited as far as the days of the week) and we may need to transit. I know our visa category isn't part of any of the PPs (Europe Travel ban, etc). However, sometimes, the airlines have their own rules or don't apply the PPs consistently. Anyone have any direct experience transiting thru Europe on the way to the US?
  4. The actual procedure seems the same from the embassy website. Anyway, hope someone in UK can help.
  5. We did our medical within 6 days of our interview. Results were sent to the embassy online via an e-medical report. We picked up a copy from the hospital before our interview and took it with us. I recommend that you do this in case there is any issue with the online e-medical system. The copy will serve as a reference that can help the officer find your report in the system.
  6. I can confirm that our emergency appt yesterday was the same type of case. An upcoming difficult surgery for the sole caregiver of 4 small children. Some pregnancies are high risk and I am sure the embassy would take a doctor's orders into consideration.
  7. I never saw the second READY. BUT I probably just wasn't quick enough YEEYYYYY! Thank you so much for all your help.
  8. We were approved around 1 PM today, went into AP at 2 and have just checked and CEAC says visa issued! Glory be to God, it is a dream come true. We live outside the city so we will pick up at our local Aramex. Do you know how long that usually takes?
  9. Approved!!! We are so happy. Crying from joy. Can't wait to see visa issued on the CEAC tracker.
  10. How long do the interviews usually take? We were granted an emergency appt for medical reasons. My husband has been in so far two hours. May God reunite all families soon.
  11. For those who have gone for their interview, is it frowned upon if the beneficiary does not choose to interview in English? The couple primarily communicates in another language. The beneficiary reads and writes academic English but is shy at speaking and worried about misunderstanding the Consular Officer due to nerves.
  12. Hi everyone. The NVC didn't ask for an upload of the birth certificates of petitioner's children (beneficiary's stepchildren). For the interview, does the beneficiary need to bring these? The stepchildren are US Citizens residing in the US. Due to COVID, it may be difficult to get the originals in time for the appointment.

  14. For the consulates who allowed petitioners to attend with the beneficiary, anyone still been allowed during COVID era??
