Which name do you want to be your legal name moving forward? The one in the DL and SSN or the name on the Naturalization Certificate.

I WANT TO legal it ex ( VERONICA GABUTAN LEE )  which is in my driver's lincense and SSN !  but on my naturalization certificate is ex ( VERONICA GACAYAN GABUTAN LEE ) that's why it hard for me to get a new passport because there not the same ... there kinda strict ab0ut it .. the clerk say's i need to change my naturalization name .. so that it will be the same on my driver's license ... and the bad thing i need to pay $555 to change it ... which is sucks ... i just pay $750 for my naturalization to get become a citizen and now i need to pay extra just to change it .... :(

In that sense, the clerk is correct. For whatever purpose you yourself used a different name on the naturalization process that you weren’t planning to use ever. So you have to pay for the replacement fee of $555 with the correct name that you’ve been using and want to use. It sucks you have to pay that much but it was your mistake. $555 is replacement cost regardless of name change or not. Just make sure you provide evidences of the name you want to use otherwise the new certificate may come with the same name you have in the current certificate.

I dropped my middle name during naturalization process, and when I applied for passport I gave my naturalization certificate and my driver's license ( which still contained my middle name), and I was still able to apply for passport although the name on nat. certificate and driver's license didn't match. But I guess passport and nat. certificate have to mach. I plan to update driver's license so all documents are with the exact same name.

Wait, so you changed your name during naturalization but now want to get a passport in your previous name?

That’s what it sounds like to me.

This is why, if you change your name through naturalization, it's a good idea to first go to the SS office and get an updated Social Security card. Once you have that you can get your DL changed to match that (in our state your DL HAS TO MATCH EXACTLY whatever is on your SS card.

I was so confused about this post at first. I thought the OP did name change through naturalization and the passport office wouldn't accept the name change docs. Looks like it's the other way around.

Mistakes happen and you're allowed to change your mind.  It sometimes costs money to do so.  The good news is it's all fixable. Congrats on your naturalization, OP
