It used to be a hack that, after submitting, usually led the service center to check one's application earlier which resulted in a faster processing time. As mentioned though, not sure if it still works. Filing it is free though, so why not?

Yes. Its quite incredible how fast some are being approved. It gives us hope that they are getting petitions through more efficiently.

Any paper filers who filed from abroad getting approved? Filed Jan 29, right before they switched to online only. At Nebraska and have not received any updates besides receipt number.

thanks for the reply. I think that might be the case for all these applications we are seeing getting approved quickly...petitioner resides currently within the US.

I'm excited to post that we received our petition approval today!

Only update on case was April 2 and then again today, 5/15. We filed paper, me living in US, spouse outside, and were uploaded as IOE.

Nebraska SC (Transferred to California on 02/23/2020)

Date changes:

02/23/2020 - transfer to California

04/03/2020

05/18/2020

05/19/2020 - Received approval email. Notice says it was approved 05/18/2020 at the California SC
