Hey, just wanted to let you know we are another already approved case🤷‍♀️
Submitted online application Jan 21 2020

Got Nebraska

Transferred to Texas in Feb

Case was touched in March

Case was touched April 8th

Case was touched April 28th

April 30th we received welcome email from NVC with our new case numbers

I looked at USCIS account and our 130 was approved April 29th

Was able to log into NVC April 30

Paid our fees May 1st and are waiting for fees to process now

No K3 or anything extra done, totally shocked us

Hey there I asked you in the other thread, but we got approved today and did not get our email. It says that they will mail our notice within the next 30 days... how did you get a welcome email and not a letter!

This was also the case for ours; our I-130 was approved on April 22nd and we were able to log in to the CEAC web and paid our fees the next day (April 23rd). Maybe an instant case transfer is the new norm? (I'm not familiar with how long that used to take)

Hi there, was it an email as well? Its saying that the notice will be mailed to us.

We first received an email from uscis notifying us that our case had been updated, so we logged on to our uscis account and saw the approval letter. We received a welcome email from nvc the next day, and last came the paper notice from uscis in our mail a few days after.

Thank you, one last question, did NVC email both of you?

Yes, they did

Was it the emails provided in the I-130? I am just nervous that I did not receive an email yet from NVC and we were approved two days ago (filed online). Maybe need to call NVC...

This is what it says on travel.state.gov:

”Current case creation time frame: As of 4-MAY-2020, we are working on cases that were received from USCIS on 24-APR-2020.”

Even though we’re recently seeing more cases being created overnight by NVC, I don’t think that’s quite the norm. Back in the days the wait time between USCIS and NVC used to be weeks. Though it’s all online today, it’s highly probable that NVC still takes a few days to create a case.

Hey, congratulations!!! I honestly don’t know why we got an email from NVC before the approval notice from USCIS🤷‍♀️. There doesn’t see to be any rhyme or reason to how they are processing cases lately lol

I called NVC today and they said this exact thing! Some delay. The one day processing is definitely on the faster range of things!

Has anyone here applied for the K-3 visa in addition to their CR/IR-1? I was under the impression when we started this whole process that the K3 was becoming obsolete but am seeing that it is still an active option on the US Dept of State website and can be applied for in conjunction with the CR-1. Any insight on this?

You can file one but the loophole at Nebraska seems to have been fixed.  No new reports of it working since last year.
