Has everyone about gone on here meaning had their interview and gotten their visas?

I just had my medical today :) I'll wait for the results to be ready for collection before completing the DS-160 and submitting my notice of readiness. The results may take two weeks so I'm guessing I won't interview for approximately another month.

With Serbia embassy doing the scheduling then your at their mercy. Two things I have learned during this process (there are many more but two sounded good so I am going with that :D) is "the man with the gold makes the rules" and the others is you can jump and scream as much as you want but you will not move your case any faster.

So you need patience. Lots of patience to get through with them. I hope the contact you soon with an interview date.

Yesss!! I think I’m learning more about patience in this process than anything else. After I called and left a voicemail the other day, I saw our case was updated the next day in CEAC. We finally received our interview date today! So likely they mailed out the letter the day of the update. We’re set for March 10!

I do have a question though, in the letter , it says to bring, “The originals of all documents whose copies were submitted with the I-129F petition”.

What does that actually mean? Neither of us have ever been married before, have no children, and have no court or arrest history, so what original documents would he be needing other than his own birth certificate and police certs etc.

everything that was submitted in the petition was my (the petitioner) documents. Surely they aren’t wanting my original birth certificate or anything!

thanks!

The petitioner, from the letter as you explained it,  is required to submit originals of important documents like BC, prior marriage certificates, and divorce decrees to name a few. Pull out the list of documents that you used for the I-129f abd use as your check list of what needs to be submitted that corresponds to your case. That should do it.

Update: Received 221g after interview on March 17th. Sent in my passport & requested documents 31st Mar. Embassy replied 2nd Apr, acknowledging receipt and also asking when I intend to leave for the US.

I've emailed asking if there are any current travel advisories for K1 immigrants entering the US. Been planning to arrive in Seattle June 1st, sigh, keeping my fingers crossed on that. :(

Will update again when they reply!

Hang in there everyone!

wow you're lucky!

I think you're the only one with updates from consulate after 3/18 that I've seen.

We're waiting for the visa since 3/18 update after they received all the documents for 221g.

Good luck to you and everyone else.

Hang in there everyone!

My CEAC tracker has been updated 9th April! It has now gone from REFUSED to ADMINSTRATIVE PROCESSING, which I hope is a good sign!

The email correspondence with the consulate has been lacklustre - generic or one sentence replies. They acknowledged receiving my 221g documents & requested for my passport. I had already sent it in as the interview officer had instructed to include my passport with the documents. Waiting on a reply from them next week to confirm if my passport is with them but it looks like they might have kicked off my processing now! I'm so relieved!

CEAC tracker is also listing a new date under "case created" - previously it stated the date NVC assigned the case #.

@Greenbaum Thx for the CDC link - my fiance is looking into it now!

@:Sarah: Best of luck to you too - looking forward to hear good news on your end!

Meanwhile, everyone please stay safe, and sane!

Thank you Stella! I hope you will get the passport with visa soon!

And I think I saw somewhere that someone did confirm with the border that K1 visa is under essential travel, don't quote me on it but have seen few people pass the border with K1.

Still a good idea to contact them before you go and make sure everything is okay to go.

I hope everything goes smoothly and you can finally unite with your fiance! I'm truly happy for you!

Finally some good news starting to come through :D

Hello all! I received my K1 visa yesterday! My heart nearly exploded out of my chest as I cut the courier packaging - issue date 14th April!

In light of the new EO and the upcoming non-immigrant revision in 30days, I was terrified my issue date would be 23rd April.

Will be arranging my flight to arrive in Seattle by May 20 or earlier (May 22 will be 30days from April 23) - please wish me luck!!

This chat has gone really quiet, and I hope that means most, or all of you have your visas, or already in the US? For anyone out there still waiting, please don't lose hope!

p.s: Which forum/thread should I follow next?

@Greenbaum Thank you so much for your support! This community has been a huge help and I'm so so grateful!

Congratulations @StellaRaMona !! Best of luck with your future in the US :)

We're stuck waiting for our interview. We sent in our Notice of Readiness on March 19th but have to wait until interviews resume.

Anyone else here in the same boat as us?
