Born and raised.  Thanks, Hawaii is a great place.  I think the best thing about Hawaii are the beaches and the weather.  If you live here, we got just as much issues and problems like anywhere else.

I’ll be in Maui for Christmas and I’m very excited. Love visiting Hawaii, but I must say after a week I start feeling nervous like I need to get off the island because it’s so far away lol. Idk it’s probably just me🤦🏽‍♀️

And so everything we expressed to you was true. Now looking forward we can anticipate your NOA2 questions. No, no one can say with any certaitiy when you will be approved and receive your NOA2. Currently they are running about 6 months so their isn't anything you need to do but wait and have patience. No need to be calling next week to see if your file has be approved. :D And yes, same as the NOA1 you will get a hard copy in the mail but you may not get a text message. I'm sure you will think of more questions so we are here to help.

Trust the process!

Who calls after a week to see if their APPROVED!? I called to see if they got the application to be on the safe side. Thanks for your input.

That's amazing! I was on Maui for Christmas last year and it was such a good time! I am the opposite, once I'm there, I feel like not coming back to the mainland. Oops!

P.S.: Happy you got your NOA1! Let's all hope we get approved quickly!!

Rarely does anyone call to see if it's been received nor approved. Your next call that I anticipated is the NOA2 which is APPROVAL for your application. No need to call. Trust the process. They don't screw up that often especially seeing they are adjudicating millions of application AND the majority of the K-1 applications get approved. Just saying.

Now that I have received my NOA1, I need to keep myself busy so I am not constantly thinking about approval 🤣 My fiance and I are so ready for this to be over already!

Well charge your batteries as you have a ways to go and even after the K1 is over there is more.

Pace yourself you'll be fine!

Got noa1 notice in the mail today. 6 days after noa1 text. And exactly 2 weeks after sending the petition.

Very good smooth sailing ahead!

I hear you! If I knew how long it would take, I would count the days. 😅 I hope it's as quick as the VJ statistics predict, but there are a ton of people outside of VJ too. Although we are the best prepped for this process! I love this community!

Hi! Received physical NOA1 in the mail 12/13! Case was received 12/3, notice date in NOA1 is 12/6.

Question- how do we know if our request for expedite has been acknowledged or approved/refused? We have included a letter of request for it including supporting docs like military and deployment orders. Just wondering if the USCIS actually gives a separate notice about that or adds a statement about that in the NOA1.

Hey brother, no they won’t tell you. I just expedited mine and it was approved. I called the MIL number and requested an expedite. They emailed me a few days later with what I thought was a denial but then it requested more info ( orders or letter from someone verifying my deployment). I sent that in on DEC 4. I called to check the status and they couldn’t help me or tell me anything. DEC 6 my case status changed to approved and I got my NOA2. I just spoke with the NVC and you can do the exact same thing once it reaches there. NVCexpedite@state.gov include your name and DOB with your case number.

so no they won’t tell you yes or no they just do it or don’t do it.

I hope so as well. I feel like it will be. I’ll try my hardest not to think about it, but my anxiety will definitely start up around that VJ predictions time 😂
