Congrats to everyone that has been approved. NOA1 12/5, still no approval. Starting to wonder if our paperwork or something else is wrong. Is it bad that we haven’t been approved yet? Bad sign?

Very bad sign. You might want to just start over and submit a new application, fees, etc.

Just kidding, don't do that. Read through the recent posts on here. Patience.

Probably not a bad thing. People from January are getting approvals. I received NOA on 12/23..

Hahaha, I have patience. It’s just odd to see NOA1s with dates after us already approved, figured it would be in order. Any idea of when I should start to be concerned about the petition? Would it be appropriate to call USCIS? Any dial pad short cuts to talk to someone?

Average processing time is 5-7 months for NOA2. It not in order.. Some applications take longer to process because of background checks and all that. If you specified that you had been arrested or anything like that, I could take longer.

I haven't heard anything about people with criminal pasts and processing time lines.

Read through the last 2 or 3 pages of this thread, where this exact issue is discussed.

I've browsed through several other K1 monthly threads, and this discussion happens in every one of them. Long story short, it's normal, just wait it out.

No, it's not a sign that things are not correct for your application. We are still in a reduced staffing situation at all points of this process. It's just taking extra time. Before we went into this current tailspin, they had been working on December and beginning to process January. You should hear something soon.

Very normal. You're within the 5-7-month adjudication period that USCIS advertises, and there is a pandemic transpiring which has force USCIS, NVC and your embassy to be shorthanded. Patience.
