Well, I know I'm an anomaly, but this independent never took the impeachment stuff seriously from the beginning. When I see impeachment stuff being said before Trump even takes office, I already know the kind of irrationality I'm dealing with, and when I see that kind of irrationality from the get-go, I'm even less likely to take their arguments seriously without proof right from the get-go.

 

The only thing I take seriously from this is the abuses of power employed upon an American citizen and people in his cabinet. I won't weep for people like Manafort and co, who are clearly criminals, but it was clear that if Trump wasn't President nothing would've happened. I can plainly see we're dealing with people who think wielding government power against people is a legitimate way of getting your way politically, which is precisely what a coup is, and is the sort of dangerous behavior that ruins a Republic.

I certainly tend to swing Right fiscally, but am officially an independent as I have never registered as either a Democrat or Republican, and I agree, seeing through this pre-ordained charade was very easy.

I can't feel bad, the Dems sat here playing up this stuff about Trump committing crimes, the media hundreds of times would say stuff like "another bombshell/blowtorch/IED", "Trump is going to be impeached", "the beginning of the end of the Trump presidency", they aggrandized and facilitated the left's expectations that they can't match with results. The left unquestioningly ate it up, were pathological stalwarts unrelentingly believing reality needed to bend to their expectations, and would perform the most amazing mental gymnastics to justify things that made absolutely no sense with an ounce of critical thinking: The Russia conspiracies, this "credible accusation" hilarity, the policy disagreements with non-elected government employees=impeachable offense Ukraine narrative, there's no straw they won't grasp. And this sort of fervent zealotry is a mentally compromised position that people with far less than noble intentions have seized on and redirected it toward their own goals.

....and not to mention, every time a Democrat politician mentioned impeachment, the donations came pouring in.

Also, let's not forget it was Adam Schiff himself who declared for roughly 2 years to anyone with a TV camera that he possessed absolute, undeniable proof of Trump-Russia collusion....
