Our NOA1 was early August, we received an RFE which was dated Sept 29th, they received the response 11th October.

24th October our status changed to "Ready to schedule an interview".

I went on the premise that an RFE at least gave us confirmation that someone was looking at our case, I don't believe it resets the case. Detroit is my local field office but RFE sent to the NBC ofcourse.

No, it does not. They put it on hold for 4 weeks. That is what they write in RFE and when acknowledging receipt of the response, they write again: we resume working on your case.

Every June / May filers in queens NYC ot their green cards already and out of nowhere the timeframes changed from 7months to 17.5 months ... now july and august filers might be stuck

Why would Queens be significantly different from other boroughs? Specifically if interviews for Queens are held at Federal Plaza which I think is true

Awesome, that puts us all in good standing for an interview this year. I’m still waiting for my case status to change. The guy on the phone told me it was ready to be scheduled but the website doesn’t reflect that

I called yesterday and got some rude lady from the south. She just said "Sir, they received your RFE on the 11th October, they have 2 months to decide if they have more, thank you."

But now I don't care about that lady :P I hope you get your letter soon also, my status hasn't changed either.

That seems right for their call centres. I’m assuming your current status on the website is that they received your RFE? If so; I also don’t care about the lady you spoke to! Maybe I’ll run into you at the interviews :)

The new website (https://myaccount.uscis.gov/) still just says "Case was received". The old website (https://egov.uscis.gov/casestatus/mycasestatus.do) just shows case is ready to be scheduled.

Maybe so, a friend who moved from the same city as me in England is awaiting his interview date too so should all be receiving them soon, fingers crossed.

It's much easier to adopt bad practice than vice versa ;)

Called USCIS this morning to check my case had actually been moved to ready to be scheduled. Lady told me it was moved on 10/31, I was told 11/1 last time but heyho. Case status online still hasn’t updated but hoping for an interview date next week :)

Jealous of everyone getting their interview dates, I live in Seattle so I won’t be getting mine anytime soon. My case has been ready for interview since September, just got to hope my AP and work authorisation comes soon.
