Birth certificate -if born in the US- or certificate of naturalization.

I'm surprised they ae requesting evidence of the USC's citizenship status...that was something USCIS already addressed with the I-129F (plus they should have whatever evidence was provided with the I-129F already).

On the checklist for the AMS embassy, proof if USC status was also there. I brought his original BC, a copy of his passport. And of course I did not have to show ANY of them! 😄

All the poor trees that die for the Immigration process for nothing..

Hi, thank you for your answer. I actually emailed the US embassy in my country to ask about the passport situation. They answered that her birth certificate will work too. So no need to make a passport now.

OP Her BC should be fine to use.

That's what I'm saying. Within 2 years not 2 years ago as that falls behind the time frame. 

 

For example today is 8/2/2019 if they met on or before 8/2/2017 they're no longer within the 2 year time frame

No. They just have to have met within 2 years of filing. Not 2 years of the interview.
