My journey is over. My experience at LA office is following: arrived about 30 minutes earlier, no problem, went through security and to the 8th floor. The guard only looked at my appointment letter and told me to go to the window to have my picture and fingerprints taken. My appointment was at 10am, I waited about 45 minutes to be called by officer. Cellphone is allowed while you wait. Also, some people showed up with their kids, couples and so on.
interview went quickly: easy questions, very basic. The officer didn't look at any of the documents I brought. Also, I traveled a lot before this interview and my total traveling time was over 6 months. He only asked what was my longest trip outside the country, which was 30 days. So, no problem there.
Finally, he said that I could take the oath in a separate room if I had time. The only thing I had to wait is them running my background check to make sure that nothing happened since I filed which was August 2019.
Now I have to update my SSN and get new passport. I will be glad to answer any questions 🙂

Congratulations!!!   🇺🇸

Question - were you originally scheduled for your interview in the spring/summer that got cancelled due to Covid?

If yes - when was the cancelled interview scheduled for - April? May? Etc?

or is this interview date the only notice you received from USCIS?

thanks in advance for clarification

Interview passed today!  I arrived about 10 minutes earlier then my scheduled time and waited about 15-20 minutes before being called back.  My adjudicator was training someone in, so he notified me prior to entering the room of that fact (and that it was no negative indication of my application).  Before sitting down, he had me swear an oath to tell the truth.  He then jumped right in to the written and spoken English test, which was just one sentence to read off the tablet and then using a stylus to type up a verbally provided sentence.  He asked me six questions, which I got all correct.  I had brought original copies of mine and my husband's birth certificates, marriage license and my passport; he only asked to see my Green Card.  He ran through a series of questions (any felonies, radical groups I may be a part of, ect); all easy "no" questions.  He spent some time asking me about out-of-country trips I had taken over the past three years and any tickets or citations I have ever had (I was upfront about one speeding citation).  He asked who I lived with, how long I had lived at my current address and whether I had any children anywhere in the world, either adopted or natural.

Once it was all done, he had me verify my contact information on the screen, sign an acknowledgement that I would swear an oath before a judge for naturalization and then handed me a letter saying I had passed the interview and he was recommending my application for approval.  He let me know that I was now just needing to wait for a letter informing me of my Oath Ceremony date.

Is anyone still waiting on an Oath Ceremony to be scheduled after their interview/test months ago? :( Husband had his interview/test in March and we've been waiting for the Oath Ceremony to be scheduled for him since then. Yesterday, we finally got in touch with our local congresswoman to see if there was anything they could do.

Did USCIS ask you to bring your spouse to the interview in their notice?

Did your interview letter says it will be a combo?

Good luck with the interview!

I filed online. Interview letter was uploaded two days after the interview scheduled. Still waiting for hard copy.

I feel that raising a case is what helped get my interview scheduled. Just an assumption

Hi @outaway3, on what grounds and with whom (USCIS via phone, your congressman or senator, etc...) did you raise a case? Good luck on the interview.
