Correct....they were never multiple choice.

No, you do not have to know all of them.

If the question is "Name one of the....." then you name only one answer; same for "Name two of the...." then you only name two.

For example, there's a question "Name two cabinet-level positions." My choice of answering is Secretary of Education and Secretary of Defense even though there are many positions in Cabinet.

Easy way is to memorize those specific answers you will use should the question is asked. :)

There are some questions where there isn't a "name one" or "name two" direction given, but where there are multiple answers.

For instance, I believe one of the questions is 'What does the judicial branch do?' and for that there are 4 different answers. Are you expected to know every single one, or just name one of them at the test?

We haven't heard anything and we are in LA as well! However, we filed end of September and did biometrics early October. Our estimated completion is August 2020 though - strange since you filed earlier! Maybe a different field office.

I filed and did biometrics at the same time as you, probably a few days later. My est.completion shows September 2020. I think it's accurate!!! We're close

Finally is my turn to share my n 400 interview experience!!!!!

Filled 08/27/2019

Interview scheduled April 13th

Interview rescheduled to September 9th ,did not receive any updates on a website, got a notice through a snail mail

Los Angels field office : appointment time 7:15 am  ,got called in at 9:30 am

Officer was really nice and made me feel very comfortable,  however it was a throughout Interview I applied through marriage but not under 3 years rule,  at the moment of submission of an application it was 3years 9 months , during the interview the officer asked for proof of marriage documents. Keep in mind it was not listed on an interview notice letter. I brought tax papers for the past 4 years,  joint bank statements,  water and power bills,  phone bills etc . The officer thanked me for bringing all of those documents and made copies of it. Then asked me 6 civic questions and " yes " "no" questions,  asked me to read a question on the i pad and write an  answer, congratulate  me on passing the test and informed me that Oath ceremony will be held in about 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, 3 hours later we were informed that Oath ceremony will not happen today due to the glitch in their system and that they will notify us about the date and time of a ceremony via phone calll. I hope that helps, wishing you guys a good luck with this journey!!!!

My journey is over. My experience at LA office is following: arrived about 30 minutes earlier, no problem, went through security and to the 8th floor. The guard only looked at my appointment letter and told me to go to the window to have my picture and fingerprints taken. My appointment was at 10am, I waited about 45 minutes to be called by officer. Cellphone is allowed while you wait. Also, some people showed up with their kids, couples and so on.
interview went quickly: easy questions, very basic. The officer didn't look at any of the documents I brought. Also, I traveled a lot before this interview and my total traveling time was over 6 months. He only asked what was my longest trip outside the country, which was 30 days. So, no problem there.
Finally, he said that I could take the oath in a separate room if I had time. The only thing I had to wait is them running my background check to make sure that nothing happened since I filed which was August 2019.
Now I have to update my SSN and get new passport. I will be glad to answer any questions 🙂
