Doors open a few minutes before the mentioned start time. They will let you in one by one and one for check in; this is when the officer will take your green card and the form that you are supposed to bring to Oath ceremony and give you your Naturalization certificate to verify and you will be asked to pick a spot and stand. Oath ceremony includes a message that USCIS officer reads out probably like 2 minutes and actual Oath. You cannot take picture inside the room but they do not stop you from taking pictures outside.

 

If you are driving I will recommend use ParkMobile App to reserve a spot and you get decent pricing.

Hi, was anyone’s oath ceremony rescheduled for no reason? I just got a message saying that my oath ceremony was cancelled as requested, even though i never requested for it to be rescheduled.  Thanks!

[Edit] Yup - well, interviews, not ceremonies. Twice for me during 2019 because of the pandemic. Probably the same now given the current state of affairs.

 

My local USCIS office is doing drive-thru ceremonies to keep the backlog low. Not sure if this is universal practice.

Update on the approval of my combo interview: nada. Since 10/24 I’ve heard nothing from USCIS. myUSCIS doesn’t have any useful info - 2 months more waiting until the 4 month max wait time on a decision is reached.
 

Trying to buy a house and the underwriters on the mortgage are losing their minds that I can’t produce an unexpired green card or a US passport. My ADIT stamp confused them enough to get them off my back at least.

Still a whole lot of nothing on my N-400/I-751 petitions. Contacted the San Jose field office on Monday and got a terse email back saying “we are still reviewing your case. We will mail you our decision.”

At long last, my N-400 was approved today (along with my I-751). Waiting for a date to take the Oath. ^^

Went to my Oath Ceremony yesterday at the Santa Clara USCIS Office. About 80 of us stood in the blazing sun in a circle and took the Oath at the same time. Wasn't how I imagined it would be when I stared this journey but it sure feels good to be at the end of it. :)
