Personal standpoint here...  the police pretty much advise us, in this town at least to not accept help from strangers.. we've had a bunch of times where women have been abducted and raped alone on country roads when they have broken down. In a few cases a person pulled them over pretending to be a cop. They pretty much tell you to call 911 to confirm that the cop is indeed the cop! They also just advise that it's safer to call road assistance and never to get out of the vehicle when approached by a random. So no, as a single female with a bad tire? I'd either change it myself, or call road assistance.. and pass on offers from random passers by.. it's not about if you have good intentions or not.. it's just not safe these days.

My wife asked that question. I said dont worry hun, if someone grabbed you they would bring you back once you got hangry

IIt is sad when people avoid human decency and simple acts of kindness to avoid becoming targeted for nefarious reasons, both men and women. It has reduced to a joke or what if situation but its true

100% agreed. There was a day I would have pulled to the shoulder to help a pretty girl. Not any more. I'm not a monster, I would at least phone 911 with her location, but otherwise no.

Many many years ago when visiting my Grandparents the local kids would want to know if my Grandfather could come out to play, can not do that you would be called a Perv.

i am unlucky enough to worked with the worst of the worst in my neck of woods. Understanding the criminal paradigm and how their mind operates is a thing to behold. They are not like us and share the same morals like the rest of the population. They will bash your head and hurt you real bad and eat breakfast right after without any remorse. With that said... always trust your gut instinct(6th sense) and highly recommend reading the book "The Gift of Fear" by Gavin da Becker.

The digression enables us to reiterate that the correct spelling is "tyre," or should be, in regard to that round thing under one's car.

that round thing under the car is called a pothole where I live

he may have a defense, isn't his wife Filipina? My wife seems to have an abundance of excess H's that get attached to almost everything except where they actually belong

In Spanish, the H is silent.

The J becomes the H.

Really charming when Mrs. T-B. referred to "Nueva Hersey" (New Jersey).
