K-1 Marriage Certificate

Hello my dear community,
My fiancée and I finished assembling all the papers, but just one is missing; Marriage Certificate.
Considering that none of us ever married before, should I join A Certificate of Never Being Married (Since my country has it)?

Where do you see this requirement for a marriage certificate.  You are way off course......I suggest you read and understand  the K-1 guide here and learn it before sending your documents.....

I know there's none about the Marriage Certificate, only if I was married before I need to join a paper of marriage termination and so forth.
I just want to leave no room for error, because my country Algeria have a high denial rate for no apparent reason.

Were you married before?  If so, you have to include the valid documents that show the prior marriage was terminated.

Like you stated:  only if you were married before.

If you weren't, nothing is needed.

Seeing that your issue really is the high rate of denial for Algeria K1 visas,  this is what you need to address to help your case

1.  Create a timeline on profile so we have an idea of your process along the way

2.  the USC needs to spend a great deal of time with you in person / VJ community calls it "facetime"

      this can be several visits or long visits / not just a 10 day or 2 week vacation/  it can be the 2 of you in a friendly country like Tunisia                   where you can travel

3.  get to know every little and big thing about your fiancee 

     her state,  her city or In country,   her weather,  her family,  her best friend,  her school or college name,  her favorite color,  her favorite               books,   all of those and            more as they can ask about these at the interview

4.  and don't ever be afraid to ask a question here /  VJ community responds to all

Since you stated that neither of you have been married before, there is no need for a marriage certificate, documents for termination of a previous marriage, or a statement of having never been married......you do, however, need letters of intent to marry within 90 days of the foreign fiance's arrival in the US.    The guides here are very useful.

In Algeria.....you will need a certificate of non marriage. You will have to take two witnesses (not family) to the court house to say you are not married. Then you get the certificate of non marriage marriage.

 

In Algeria there’s a document called a “certificate of non marriage”..it’s a requirement from packet IV in Algeria....

Non of that is relevant to filing the I-129F....which is what I thought the OP is in the process of doing.....and I'm not sure why the OP said a marriage certificate is missing.

Interesting----On the embassy guide it doesn't state a certificate of non marriage is a required document for Algeria in Packet 4.   Wonder if that is outdated information.

 

Is this something new you personally experienced for your K1?

As others have stated, mentioned, shown.....a "certificate of non-marriage" is not a current requirement of the USCIS Form I-129F, at least according to the current USCIS link: https://www.uscis.gov/i-129f , pages 10-11. It may be a requirement of an interviewing DOS embassy/consulate. However, the Form I-129F is submitted and adjudicated by USCIS and currently has no such requirement.

Yes. I agree. When filing the paperwork for the k1 visa it is not required. However, it is required for the consulate in Algeria.

I'm not doubting you.....Can you show me that reference.....it's interesting that the US State Dept would require it for a marriage which will take place in the US.....I know it is required to marry in Algeria.  ..Thanks.....I think something like that is required in Philippines....

I would think that's a requirement for a USC wanting to live/marry in Algeria.  Not the other way around.
