Apparently it is different if you were born before 1992 even though is the same one we took to the embassy, USCIS only accept long form. Contact your family back home to go NPC and do 1. Attestation of birth 2. Age Declaration 3. Get two people (parents/older sibling) to do affidavit confirming that they are aware of your birth. Everything can be done in a day or two. Tell them to scan them very clear to you, so you print out and reply your REF asap. They can mail the original copies via Fedex later.

So after  doing  all these, will then give me birth certificate and which npc did u go to?

Hi everyone! I had my biometrical appointment in the beginning of september, and while i'm waiting i wanted to ask about vaccination for the greencard. I received  in my country just DS-3025, vaccination  documentation worksheet, and i gave away  my envelope with medical exam( i-693) on a border control. Also on a website it says that this i-693 lasts like 1 year, so if i would have it i would be good. Who knows do i need to go to uscis doctor to do this i-693 again for the interview ? And how do i know what vaccination i still need to have?

When you file the I-485 you will need to send a copy of the DS3025 with it ( do not send the original ) you should not need to get another medical done in the US, hopefully all going well your interview will be before next September ( depending on when you file ) you will need to take the original DS3025 with you to the interview incase they need it, so do not lose it, if you needed any vaccinations they should have told you the day of the medical.

Another note to everyone else, I see a few people saying that when they went for their interview they where taken in separately from there husband/wife, this must be a local office thing, my and my wife went to Pittsburgh and where both taken in at the same time for the interview.

Temi thank you very much for the info. Really  helpful.  Apart from my old birth certificate,  what other documents does my parents need from me to get the new birth certificate.  Also, how much is the cost.  Just want  them to go prepared for a smooth process.

That is all I sent to them (Attestation of birth, Age declaration, two affidavits, Lagos state birth certificate issued at birth and baptismal certificate). It wasn't my parents that went, my brother did he asked them that he needs bc for me and they showed him what to do. I can't remember how much it cost but it wasn't expensive, he went and got it same day. So I'll suggest that your family go early because of the waiting.

I requested expedite for my EAD based on severe financial loss, I gave the reasoning that I have credit card bills and rent to pay and it's difficult to do so without a job, I heard back today and they are requesting me to fax a pending job offer. What should I do? I don't have a pending job offer? Should I not send anything and wait for it to get approved as per the normal processing or should I send my credit card bills and rent receipts? Any advice is welcome!

Temi I am still confuse. From your explanation,  this is what I understand. The attestation of birth comes from NPC, then I need to do age declaration here in a court near me. Then I will get two affidavits from people in Nigeria and then send it with my birth certificate issued at birth for my RFE. Please  am I right.  Sorry for disturbing, just want to be sure I understand all

My husband had to get that. But he got it while he was in Nigeria during the K1 visa process. But that was only because there was error on his birth certificate. If that’s what they’re asking, you do have to take to court in person for them to stamp your birth certification.

My brother did both Attestation and age declaration at NPC and went to high court do the affidavit of support (him and my dad).
Here are thing you need:
1. Attestation of birth from NPC (Surulere)
2. Age declaration from NPC (Surulere)
3. Two affidavits of support from any two members of your family older than you from high court (Ikeja)
I sent those three things with bc issued at birth as response to my RFIE

Hi guys, wanna ask if e-signatures (e.g. pdf signatures) are acceptable/valid on supporting documents like a letter (written explanation) or it must be handwritten. Also is it compulsory to sign such letter?
