I checked Friday and now my status is “case ready to be scheduled for an interview”. We just had our biometrics on 5/20 so is this status just  a canned statement or should I expect to have the AOS interview soon?

Thanks

You should have your interview. We received the appointment letter the week after biometrics. The day of the interview, my husband was approved and he received his GC in the mail a week later. That was last Friday.

Hey there!

If your local office is Dallas, do NOT hold your breath. We waited almost seven months in the 'ready for interview' status, and then moved to Indiana.

Depends on your field office, but you can be "ready to be scheduled for an interview" for months or even over a year.

That means that NBC finished processing your case and you should not expect any RFEs.

Now the wait begins. Look up your local office and then you can have a timeframe for how long it will take to get the interview...

Nice. Hope u will get it done soon. Try not to worry about it and just live your life... Don't forget to collect evidence of relationship. E.g if you go to a game, or a saturday trip, parties or events take some selfies or ask ppl to take pics of the two of you in natural setting, just a few, but dont overdo it. Or officer kept every pic we provided. (Around 12, but for us the interview date was 8 months)

The letter will come around 45 days before the interview.

Your only indication of how long you may have to wait is to look up your local field office processing times.

There is no general estimate as it varies from LFO to LFO.

No.  As mentioned in your previous thread, Dallas FO has a very large backlog.  You can check the current processing time on the USCIS website.

We are in the same situation in Seattle, where the processing time is 15-23 months.  My husband had his biometrics on 11/30/19, and "case ready to be scheduled for an interview" is still the status. Luckily, he got his AP/EAD card in March.

Not how that works at all field offices.  Some are taking close to two years due to the volume of applications.

I quoted it to them earlier. Dallas has a massive wait.
