K1 visa filer here, I had my interview last March 14 and it went well. Consul congratulate me and gave me 2 pamphlets and told me to get small paper at the side. She asked me if I have any questions but I said no 🙄. I was AP immigrant March 15-26 and it changed to AP non immigrant March 27 (case created) . Is this a good sign? Heading to 3 weeks of waiting this coming week 😭😭😭😭. I lost a valid passport abroad maybe this is the reason the cause of delay?

Yes, it is a good sign. Next look for issued)

FOR MANILA:

Here is my recommendation for tracking. Once your CEAC status changes to issued use Hank's recommendations to send an email to passportstatus@ustraveldocs.com with your passport # in the subject area.  Initially it will say "There is no status update available for the passport number submitted." This means that your passport is still at the embassy going through the printing process. When you get the reply "The current status of your passport is In Transit From Post" this means that your passport has been released for pickup by 2GO. It is then just a matter of hours or a few days until you receive the magical SMS from 2GO that your passport is ready for pickup or delivery is imminent. :-)

Not a newbie but lost my old info years ago) I have been through this process before --all the way through naturalization-- This site has always been a great help to me.

Just about everyone goes through this process.  Based on the discussions I had with the case officer at USEM he informed me of the steps to complete the processing of a visa:

the first AP is the immigration unit doing the paperwork for approving the visa

the first ready is a notice that they are finished and the paperwork is being sent for visa issuance

the second AP is the visa issuance people doing their own paperwork

the second ready is that the visa has been issued and is currently being processed for delivery

Then "issue" is posted and the visa has left the BIG house to YOUR house.

Once you get that second ready, it should be sent out within a few days, although we received our visa before any of the various websites that allow you to look up the status said that it had been sent out.

Just to verify: AP immigrant to non immigrant on CEAC with a note that says if you’ve already had your interview then check in 2 days.... means visa is close to being issued?

It means the consular officer is satisfied and the application is subject to any final checks and final case completion

YMMV

Hello. We are on the same boat. Just change to non immigrant application received.

Does that mean one more AP happens before visa issuing?
