Are you a US citizen or green card holder?

This is posted in the K-1 visa section for a fiance/fiancee. I can move it to the correct forum once I know the answer.

What service center if the petition at?

If you never got the receipt notice, call USCIS and request it again & verify the address. That takes a few to several weeks or so at most.

That said, 8 months isn't uncommon even for a US citizen petitioner with certain service centers.

I submitted my I-130 for my husband in July 2017. USCIS cashed my check in August but i have not hear back from them since Last year 2017.  No receipt from USCIS yet. Its been almost 8month of waiting without a receipt number.

Does anyone have same situation ?

It's unusual not to have a receipt number after 8 months. You should try contacting uscis.

The first thing we need to know is if you are a USC or a PR?

If you did not get any correspondence from USCIS after more than 1,5 years, why would you not have contacted USCIS?

Also, if you're as USC you're SEVERELY outside normal processing times (about 1 year) with every SC, so you'd be able to request an inquiry.

Please let us know if your USC or LPR and which SC you filed.

I called them and they told me that the NOA was returned due to error on the address. They were able to give me the receipt number though.

I tracked it states

Notice Was Returned To USCIS Because The Post Office Could Not Deliver It

On August 14, 2018, the Post Office returned a notice we sent you for your Form I-130, Petition for Alien Relative, Receipt Number SRC1XXxxxxxx, because they could not deliver it. This could have a serious effect on your case. Please go to www.uscis.gov/e-request to request a copy of the notice immediately. If you move, go to www.uscis.gov/addresschange to give us your new mailing address.

I gave them the right address and they will resend the NOA
