Hello Everyone.

I am new to this site. I am getting married in April and need to apply for spouse visa. Can someone please tell me what form are needed to apply? If someone has a checklist of documents that they sent with the entire packet please share.

Thank you

Please educate yourself on this process before you start to avoid RFE's or even denials. There's the guides on VJ and the USCIS website.

I'd advise sticking to one thread; duplicate threads only confuse the many response.

Hello I have a question regarding form I-130A. Does petitioner need to file this form too along with spouse? or just spouse who is coming to the US needs to fill that only?

Thanks

Only one I-130A needs to be completed with beneficiary's info and submitted along w/ the I-130. If beneficiary is not in the US, their signature allegedly is not required but I have seen people who have gotten an RFE because it was not signed by the spouse beneficiary.

Thank you for replying.

I am in the US and applying for spouse to come to USA. I was told to fill out I-130 and I-130A. also I am Confused about who needs to fill I-130A, me and my spouse both or just my spouse who is living abroad?

You can fill out I-130A for your spouse and it is okay if your spouse does not sign it if you’re sending your paperwork from within US.

Read the instructions that go with each form.  Pretty self-explanatory if you read and follow the instructions.

Yes, I did check out the guidelines. what I am looking for is a physical checklist. I used to have that list and can’t find it now. so, I was asking to see if anyone still have that. Or else I need to create a new checklist. I like to list all the documents on one page before I send it Immigration. Again, I KNOW WHAT I AM TALKING ABOUT AND I HAVE READ THE GUIDLINES.

Please share if you have anything relevant.
