Hi

I sent my I485 on Jan 12th and delivered on Jan 14th but still waiting for NOA and they haven't cashed my check yet and haven't heard anything from them yet as of today...

Is this normal process time?

thank you

Hi all,

My husband's biometrics appointment is this Friday 1/25. I was wondering, once that's done, what do we wait on? Is there a site to check the status once biometrics are done, what is the status supposed to say, etc.? I'm expecting an RFE because I didn't send out duplicate copies of certain forms as I didn't know the forms would be sent to different locations. *shrugs*

I tried adding our 3 case #'s to my account, but I as well am getting the "try again later" message.

I guess my question is, (after biometrics) what should we wait for? mail? status change online? interview date?

Hi Vee!

So what do you mean with the duplicate copies? Like I made copies of everything and every application has a copy (I-485, I-131, I-765). For example my three applications all have a copie of my marriage certificate. So didn’t you do that or?

Well we received our NOA approving EAD + AP, before we got the interview date, most likely because we did an expedited I-131.

Received NOA by mail on the 22nd, website updated today.

Yes that's what I mean. I did not do that. I placed one copy of everything in a binder---not knowing it would be separated eventually. 😣

Thanks, we did it because my wife has to go back and finish her 5-year degree, she is 4 out of 5 to finish, we got a letter from the school saying that if she did not go back in January she would lose her career.

My husband applied for his SSN on 12/24, and his I-94 expires on 1/31/2019

i went to the SSN office today (1/17/2019) bc the case status said it had been returned to the agency. Not a surprise..! They told me his SSN has not been approved yet and won’t be approved bc his I-94 is expired. I corrected them and told them it is not expired yet. And they said his SSN has not been approved bc his form will be expired by then and he needs to “reapply” for a i-94, green card, or work permit.

I assume this means we just need to now wait for his employment authorization permit to be approved now before he gets a SSN😩😩🤔😐

Quick update----i just saw that my husband will receive mail from the SS office today. Since they already told us it was denied, I'm assuming it's a denial letter. Which honestly, i think it's lame because his 1-94 doesn't expire until NEXT thursday (1/31). So, it's just funny how they were able to make time to send a denial letter in the mail and it will arrive BEFORE his 1-94 expires.....sighssssss.
