Sorry, I didn't see that someone else started commenting on my post. Obviously I was talking to @Greenbaum who was not as polite as you are.

Thank you for the warm welcome! Great to meet some nice people in here!

Maybe I can explain why @Greenbaum was asking you about your timeline. Example if you or anyone ask a question say for example you want to know what to bring to your interview, the first thing people will look at BEFORE they answer your question is your time line. Your time line ensures that you get a valid answer. it is not required to fill out and many people elect not to, but it really does assist the people trying to answer your question. Again welcome to the thread and enjoy, don't let this wait get you down, because it will if you let it trust me.

Yeah, and asking about a timeline is fine. But he wasn't very polite. I'm sorry, I came here to find help and support amongst fellow K-1 filers. My initial post was very polite, friendly AND informative. As I stated above, I am working on my profile. But this is just more work and more stressful. Good luck to all the December filers, see you on the other side.✌️

Sarge, not only the timeline as you have pointed out, but having the Embassy displayed like everyone else does help us to reply. For me, if you skip filling out your profile after I have asked you kindly do, and explained why and you don't get it then I move on.  Strange that when I followed up their ignorant reply with another request expressed kindly I get that treatment. It's fine, if they don't want to help themselves or they are that rude then they don't need my help. So they have been put on my ignore list and they can get their questions answered by others. I don't know what it is about this group (there are exceptions), but I have never come across a more self centered thin skin bunch of people.  I answered about a 100 questions a day, both from the threads but also in my PM box. I don't have time for disrespectful people. I'm out of this thread permanently. If anyone wants help, they can PM here on VJ and I will help you. To those who have expressed their appreciation, and especially those who have had my back - thank you. Oy Vey.

This website has tons of features that are custom to it, and can be overwhelming and confusing. It can be made even more complicated when using it on mobile device. I know I went though this process before. One of the quirks that "timelines" and "profiles" are 2 separate things. One doesn't even have to have forum profile, there are tons of people who create VisaJourney timeline but never make a single post and just use its timeline tracking function.

What I see in this last few post is a bit of failure to communicate. You did fill out your timeline, we can see it. What some folks are asking is to fill out your profile as well, which is different, the most important part about profile (not timeline!) is just specifying country either you or your beneficiary will immigrate from, that makes flag under your profile picture into clickable link. This is all that is being asked.

Reason why it is being asked there are members who have assembled personal archives of Country specific instruction that everyone will need in 5-7 months once petition 129F approved. Procedures and country specific requirements and little quirks that might not be readily available on your country embassy site but will be helpful to you, or your beneficiary once you are at the embassy stage of the process. Since they help literally dozens of people per day it makes easier for them to see at a glance what country you are applying for. Yes that information can be seen from your timeline as well but not as readily and it requires extra clicks to get there.

I hope that clarifies and helps diffuse things. Welcome to the site and may your journey be smooth.

😂 Looks like December thread is the most though one!

@Greenbaum  what you think, in which U.S consulate I have more changes to go ? Originally, I am from Latvia but now I live and work (and am official resident) of island Malta. But U.S embassy in Malta does not proceed fiancé VISA and is re-directing to U.S consulate in Naples. In my petition we wrote that i will do interview in Naples .. But is it possible that they send documents to Latvia? I do not really mind both of them, just am constantly wondering about it.  Maybe you can advise something. Thank you for all your support!

If Naples handles fiance(e) visas for Malta, and you're currently living in Malta, that's where they'll send things to. As far as I know, they really don't pay attention to what you pick; they send things to the consulate that handles K-1s for the beneficiary's current residence (as per the petition). Though it's possible to request a transfer if necessary.

Thank you. :) I also think it will be Naples but wanted to double check.

Hi guys, I would like to ask about the tax return that my fianceé's need to send me. Actually it's 90+ pages, do they need(US Embassy) it all on the interview or just the tax summary only? Thanks!
