Good day to everyone. I have a friend and she is a July filer, K1 petition. Is it safe for her and her baby to have the vaccine and Xray by next year for her medical. I bet not. Thanks for the help.

as far as vaccine, I can't answer that but for X-ray they provide a lead vest to wear so that part is okay.

 

it will be something that just needs to be verbally brought up at medical.

Thank you. According to google yes it is safer now to have xray while pregnant. but vaccine that's something! i told her to tell it immediately during the medical.

Two vaccines are routinely recommended during pregnancy:

• Flu (influenza) shot. The flu shot is recommended for women who are pregnant during flu season — typically November through March. The flu shot is made from an inactivated virus, so it's safe for both you and your baby. Avoid the influenza nasal spray vaccine, which is made from a live virus.
• Tetanus toxoid, reduced diphtheria toxoid and acellular pertussis (Tdap) vaccine. One dose of Tdap vaccine is recommended during each pregnancy to protect your newborn from whooping cough (pertussis), regardless of when you had your last Tdap or tetanus-diphtheria (Td) vaccination. Ideally, the vaccine should be given between 27 and 36 weeks of pregnancy.

 

Her health care provider will recommend avoiding vaccines that contain live viruses during pregnancy because they pose a theoretical risk. Examples of vaccines to avoid during pregnancy include:

• Chickenpox (varicella) vaccine

• Shingles (varicella-zoster) vaccine

if her doctor is worth his/her medical degree, they will know what is safe or not and have precautions or alternatives

Hello. I am April filler and 4.5 months pregnant. Booked my medical for next week and was told vaccines can be postponed until after delivery when I do my AOS and to make sure to bring my vaccination history with me. Xray is mandatory but was told the same that lead apron will be given to me.

It's always best to go to the source to ascertain what is needed for a specific question. Someone Canada or Germany may not be familiar with what SLEC Manila requires or how they accommodate the beneficiary for a question like the one you posed.

Just to add to the above,  if you defer the xray until after you deliver you are also deferring the issuance of the visa until after the delivery

agree     in  Morocco the drs only have 2 years of college

when i went to one for a sore throat,  he said it was "change of weather"   i had to tell him it was a bacterial or viral infection and since i had rhematic fever at age 7 ,  i always needed pencilan to fight off infections

Viral infections don't need antibiotics.
