Yes, but try to schedule the interview with a month of different between Medical and Interview because the result of medical Evaluation in Dominican Republic Its taking like a month because the have a lot peoples doing the same.

Update: My fiancee walked into the consulate medical exam Friday, February 1st. She was told that the results will be ready February 11th, which is 8 days before her interview.  Also, she said that the consulate medical center will make everyone retake vaccines that was taken else where. So, don't waste your money by getting your vaccines prior to your exam.

Yes I agree, I had my shots done by my doctor and the medical guys accepted that. I suppose it depends on the country really. Ireland’s fine!

Hi All,

So I have a quick one, my embassy interview for the k1 is on Tuesday. I booked my interview after the medical and it still hasn’t come back yet. The medical guys said it would take 10 days and I’m on day 11. I checked for an answer and was told to call back Monday. Here’s the thing, if it doesn’t arrive on time should I do the interview anyway and send it in after or just postpone and maybe add another 2-3 weeks to this process. Any help would be appreciated.

We’re in exactly the same boat and also interviewing on Tuesday morning in Dublin.  Mater hospital has told my fiancé that it’s common in Dublin for the medical to arrive after the interview.  My fiancé spoke with a nurse on Friday and in our case they were waiting for one blood test to come back and that was hopefully coming Monday so we’ll see.  She is just going to show up on Tuesday even if the medical is not ready.  Worst case they’ll make her reschedule.

Good luck with your interview!

They will complete the interview and issue a 221(g) at the end of the interview and it will inform her that they will make a final decision on her case once the medical results have reached the consulate and they have been reviewed. Will add another week or two depending more on the medical and when it arrives then the embassy. It happens all the time so nothing to worry about. Concentrate on the interview preparation.

Just wanted to give you guys a heads up.

There are two medical facilities have you contacted the other to see if they are in agreement with the one she visited this past week?

I already have an account on that link. I don't see any schedule that shows available appointments.

If you do not see any available appointments it's because they have not opened up the next month calendar. Keep checking daily and you might find a cancellation or you will see they opened another month.

This is in Santo Domingo, DR. We thought we could save money by going to the local medical clinic first to receive cheaper vaccines.

I thought it didn't make sense either, but actually it is the same reason that the consulate in DR only wants people to have their exam conducted by doctors at the consulate medical center. I think that it is a trust issue with the consulate.

Think about it, who's to say that people would not pay a fraudulent doctor to falsify vaccine records, and therefore not truly receive the required vaccines to enter the U.S.? When I look at it from that standpoint, it makes sense why they do this.
