How do I add my husband to my bank account?

I need to prove bona fide marriage. How can I add my husband to my bank account without him in the country?

you probably can't. some banks will let you though.

I have read them all and done the ones I could. However I see many people have added a spouse to the bank account and was wondering how they did it?

I would like to know as well. When I called my credit card company about adding my husband as an authorized user on my card they said he would have to appear at my credit Union (my credit card was issued through them) in person and sign something. Obviously impossible right now....

My bank won't add a person unless they are inside the US.  I know of no banks which will.

Instead of getting hung up on a joint bank account (which you're not required to have anyway); focus instead on evidence (it's evidence your collecting, not proof) of time spent together in-person. This is your strongest evidence.

I already have everything but this and now days it seems like it's not enough. I have 4 trips to Egypt (4+ years relationship history) , 5 months lived in family home, receipts of all kinds, 1 year resident stamp, wedding, wedding party professional video and photos with family and friends. My husband has me listed as his wife at the bank and all other required documents. I have him listed as my beneficiary on my life insurance, 401K, utility bills, t-mobile detail of calls and texts, western union, credit cards I added him too. Our social media is open as we have nothing to hide........I front loaded our application with everything......Have I forgot anything?
We were denied after 6 months in AP after the interview on 7-31-17!!
Our case has been back at USCIS sense 5-15-18

if you want to add your husband to your USA bank and other important accounts, you will when you file your 2018 taxes in 2019 send off to get him and ITIN number, for this you will need documentation to send out with your tax return.

 

I did this and my husband was added to my bank account while he was still in Egypt, they used a service called docusign to complete this, I sent in a letter with the ITIN application and his Egyptian passport asking for it to be sent back to me ASAP as he will need it to travel back.

 

It can be done, you can also list your husband on your car insurance as married but none driver.

Ask your banks.   My credit union and BBVA added my wife while she was in the Philippines.  Chase would not.

 

Capital One credit card added her as well.

You can also get an ITIN with a written request from a bank.   Search the IRS site for the form and agents that can do it internationally.
